Noland Lee listened to the words of the Assassin Angel, raising his head to look at Denise Green who was enchanting his Mechanos.

Noland Lee’s gaze grew complicated, causing a look of mild perplexity on Denise’s face.

“What’s up?” Denise lifted her pale right hand and waved it in front of Noland Lee.

Returning to the present, Noland Lee smiled,

“Nothing, just thinking about some stuff.”

“Okay, okay.” Denise nodded slightly, continuing to etch illusion runes onto the Mechanos with her Rune Staff.

In his mind, Noland Lee asked,

“Your Excellency, what is the origin of ‘Lamp of Resurrection,’ the subject lectured by Professor Denise? She seems to know what will happen if she enters the Mass Wizard Tombs, and she always refuses to ascend to a Star Witch.”

The Assassin Angel replied,

“Those with a Sub-Dimensional Plane have mostly established contact with the Plane’s Core behind the scenes, and they have some understanding of the truth behind Mass Wizard Tombs and Star Witches. As for who the Plane Core behind ‘Lamp of Resurrection’ is…”

The Assassin Angel displayed an extremely rare moment of hesitation.

Noland Lee’s eyebrows raised.

He hadn’t expected that asking about the origin of the ‘Lamp of Resurrection’ would inadvertently send the Assassin Angel into deep thought.

Could it be that the Lecturer Professor has an extraordinary background?

“I can think of a few answers, but I cannot be sure,” the Assassin Angel said,

“If you could meet her in person, I might be able to distinguish her true nature.”

Noland Lee nodded silently,

“Understood, Your Excellency. I will find an opportunity.”

Noland Lee looked down at the Mechanos in his hand and asked,

“Now that we’ve discovered the key clue of the Pure Light Court collaborating with the Metal Ancestor Dragon, do we continue with the previous plan?”

“Continue,” said the Assassin Angel,

“However, this time, after we lure Jay Spade out alone, there are some other things to do. I plan to plant a marker on him protected by the ‘Veil of The World’ to eavesdrop on the secrets of the Pure Light Court.”

Noland Lee’s eyes lit up.

This was exactly what he’d been wanting to do but hadn’t managed to achieve.

This was much more convenient than using the Deconstruction Technique to look for Light Wizards to deconstruct over and over again.

With his current relationship with the Assassin Angel, if the latter knew any important information, they would surely be willing to share it with him, which meant he was effectively monitoring every move of the Pure Light Court.

The Assassin Angel’s actions were exactly to Noland Lee’s liking.

“My power within the Inner Cosmos is very limited,” the Assassin Angel said,

“To maintain the marker on Jay Spade and keep it hidden from the Pure Light Court and the Metal Ancestor Dragon, my power will be diminished.”
