Chapter 1183: 370. Derivative Controversy

“Why the Shadow Executioner, why has it come to this?!”

The Metallic Ancestor Dragon Talsale, which had taken over the body of Paisi Dingda, was still hovering above Revival City.

It saw the purple-gray figure carrying the Gem Box through the Iron Curtain that spread to the seaside.

Although the other party had immediately activated the Deep Sea Mist upon detecting its presence, successfully stopping its pursuit, Talsale had still managed to identify the origins of the figure at the first instance.

Indeed, it was highly likely the Shadow Executioner.

This was an unexpected answer for Talsale.

It had envisioned several images of thieves.

For example, a Transcendent Wizard from the Inner Cosmos who had developed powerful Wild Magic. There were a few who specialized in the fields of Illusion Magic and Mental Magic, creating Wild Magic that even Talsale was somewhat reluctant to encounter.

Of course, “reluctant to encounter” didn’t mean Talsale was afraid of this Wild Magic.

Though Wild Magic itself could be enhanced by investing energy, Talsale had plenty of ways to deal with such strengthened spells.

It simply didn’t want to come face-to-face with a Transcendent Wizard and let that group become aware of its existence; that was all.

The other thieves Talsale had anticipated were members of the Star Palace, such as the Kill the Angel or the Shadow King.

It had ranked the Shadow Executioner towards the end because its location was far, far, far too distant from the Inner Cosmos and especially remote, so much so that Talsale itself would have to spend nearly 500 human years just to find the accurate location of the Shadow Executioner.

And yet, this being that existed at the very edge of the Universe had sent its avatar into the Inner Cosmos…

Talsale looked up at the Stargaze.

It could confirm that there were no stars related to the Shadow Executioner among them.

This meant the Shadow Executioner hadn’t “rooted” itself in the Inner Cosmos to aid the Wizards by developing a Sub-Dimensional Plane.

Without much guessing, Talsale could figure out that the Shadow Executioner had entered the Inner Cosmos by “smuggling,” just like those Death Steel Soldiers that had appeared in the Undead Cult.

In the past era, when the Star Palace Barrier was jointly managed by the Star God, Gilenz, and Selent, such a method of entering the Inner Cosmos would have been completely impossible.

But times had changed, and the Star Palace Barrier had become a Hollow full of holes; anyone with the ability could sneak into it.

“Once I manage to drive away Nyrephale (the White Dragon), I need to quickly think of a way to repair the Barrier, lest the rest of my plans be interrupted by those from the Outer Space and the Barren Universe…”

Talsale took one last glance at the sea surface obscured by the Deep Sea Mist, then dissipated the Transparent Iron Curtain and terminated the Skills.

The disappearance of 3 billion points of Soul Energy might be a disaster for other dragons, but Talsale wouldn’t be brought down completely because of it.

It had its own methods to rapidly gather Soul Energy.
