Time passed within the binding of the Sub-dimension Core.
Noland Lee split a part of his focus and used the Spell Mark protected by the “Veil of Different Worlds (Imitation)” to remotely observe the situation of Nabby and his two companions.
He used an invisible Mechanos to inscribe mysterious patterns on the walls at the edge of the maze, leading the trio’s attention away from the center of the maze to the wrong location.
This tactic was clearly effective, buying Noland Lee some precious time, but it wasn’t long before voices of confusion arose among Nabby’s group.
“Have we been led astray by that mysterious entity?”
Benjamin Jelani suddenly interrupted his companions’ discussion, interjecting,
“The strength of that mysterious entity is obviously not high, estimated unable to confront the three of us head-on. Therefore, for it, the most crucial thing is to buy time by any means.”
Looking at Clint “Windhawk” and Nabby, who seemed to be coming to a realization, Benjamin Jelani continued,
“Entrances to sub-dimensional planes like this, appearing in the form of mazes, whoever first gets through the maze and grabs the core item at the exit will be the ultimate winner. Isn’t wasting time here studying meaningless mysterious patterns exactly what that mysterious entity would want to see?”
Nabby examined the patterns on the wall,
“Are you saying these were deliberately laid out by that mysterious entity?”
“Exactly,” Benjamin Jelani, controlling his body, raised his arm and heavily smashed it against the wall patterns, saying angrily,
“We have most likely fallen into the trap of that mysterious entity.”
Finally, they were coming around. It seemed even the minds of Transcendent Wizards were efficient… Noland Lee watched all this from the shadows.
He shifted his Magic Vision perspective to the center of the maze.
The wall representing the maze exit was now concealed by the “Veil of Different Worlds (Imitation),” leaving a gap that one could pass through.
This gap formed a perfect match with the surrounding walls, together creating a corridor.
If one did not know beforehand that the maze’s exit was at this spot, it would be impossible for anyone to guess that there had once been a wall here.
Through Magic Vision, Nabby’s trio began moving towards the center of the maze, trying to validate their earlier guess about the maze’s exit.
Upon arriving near the “vanished wall structure,” Clint “Windhawk” used a column of air to confirm they were indeed at the very center of the maze.
But aside from the walls and stone surfaces, there was nothing else.
There was no sign of a typical maze exit, nor any shimmering, seemingly significant objects.
