Chapter 1234 (1/2)

Chapter 1234: 393. Jay’s Fall_2

As a longstanding wizard force within the Ulnas Circle, the Pure Light Court is generally not associated with the Metal Ancestor Dragon.

In addition, the Pure Light Court is very dominant, and failing to detect something conclusive from a Light Wizard could likely provoke retaliation from the Court.

For these two reasons, to date, the glass ball that detects the presence of the Metal Ancestor Dragon has never been used on a Light Wizard.

Selena was probably the first in the Ulnas Circle to use the glass ball to detect a Light Wizard, and she targeted an eighth Circle wizard right off the bat, which was incredibly bold.

The results not only gave Lonco a big scare, but Jay Spade himself entered a state of complete petrification, never anticipating that he would be ensnared by a detection device.

How dare Selena detect him!

Wasn’t she afraid of overplaying her hand and implicating herself?

Jay Spade couldn’t understand why the detection device could find the scent of the Metal Ancestor Dragon when he had thoroughly protected the iron box with Pure Light Magic.

“Hehe,” Noland Lee chuckled from the shadows.

Sorry about that.

That detection bead was fake; it only emitted a gray glow.

Whether the detection tool was real or fake didn’t actually matter, because Jay Spade definitely had the essence of the Metal Ancestor Dragon on him.

In the subsequent steps to prove his innocence, the Department of Magic would surely use more powerful, more precise detection tools, to affirm Jay Spade’s “innocence.”

Under such circumstances, even if Jay Spade used Pure Light Magic to protect the iron box, his secrets would still be revealed.

By then, who would care about a detection tool that had been tampered with by him, Noland Lee?

People would only focus on the collusion between the Pure Light Court and the Metal Ancestor Dragon.

“Splash—”

The water surged.

A solemn team emerged from the miniature ocean.

The arrivals were officially the Magic Department Commissioner specialists responsible for tracking the Metal Ancestor Dragon.

They ordered Jay Spade to cease all resistance and accompany them to the Department of Magic for interrogation.

Jay Spade’s eyes filled with panic, he blustered through a few harsh words, then the Department of Magic sealed his mouth and placed him in magic shackles.

Selena lifted the restraining magic array inside the house.

The magic chains on Jay Spade disappeared, replaced by a Soul Stagnation collar and bracelets that restricted the use of mana and other such items.

After the Department of Magic’s commissioners escorted Jay Spade away, Selena nonchalantly retrieved the glass ball, crossed her arms, and calmly looked at her brother.

Lonco shrank his neck, apologetically saying,

“Er… sorry, Selena. I didn’t know that guy Jay Spade was in cahoots with the Metal Ancestor Dragon.”

“Huh,” Selena chuckled softly,

“Have you really never used the beads issued by the Department of Magic to detect a Light Wizard?”

Lonco sheepishly grinned,

“Hehe, I felt it was a bit offensive, so I never thought about detecting Jay Spade.”

“Well, now you’ve learned your lesson, with a formidable enemy at hand, do not easily trust anyone.”

Selena said, snapping her fingers.

Several magic servants formed from sea water drifted out of the miniature ocean, each enveloping a human in slumber, who were indeed the “missing” Light Wizards.

“Take them away, Lonco, to the Academy’s prison cells.”

Selena said nonchalantly,

“I’ve cast a ‘Sleep Curse’ on them; they’ll probably need a couple of days to wake up from their slumber.”

Lonco took control of the magic servants, staring at the sleeping figures in contemplation:
