Chapter 1238: 395. Seeing Oneself_2
“`
The Nine Circles Wizard opened a sub-dimensional plane in front to hold off the laser and shelling of the Death Steel Legion, while the Eighth Circle wizards led a a team to outflank from the side, and the Seven-Ring wizards covered the Six-Ring witches as they collected the Spoils of War.
This entire process had already formed a fixed prototype and had been repeated over the past two months, with the wizards joyfully engaging in this routine.
Although occasionally a wizard would fall, the massive profits from the Spoils of War, especially the Anti-Demon Material, were enough to make every wizard ignore the threat of death and go mad for it.
But at this moment, there was a dramatic shift in the scene on the battlefield.
The wizards, previously immersed in the rhythm of combat, inexplicably felt a sense of fear and subconsciously congregated, taking the Spoils of War they had secured and initiating the ceremony to teleport away from the Pollution Zone.
Noland Lee was momentarily baffled by this scene, as if all these wizards were little soldiers in an RTS game, uniformly controlled by some mysterious force.
“How can this be?” Noland Lee could scarcely believe it:
“The wizards are just leaving like this? Can rumors spread this fast?”
The Assassin Angel suddenly said:
“He knows I’ve come.”
Noland Lee turned off “Mind View” and asked:
“Who is He? The White Ancestral Dragon Nyrephale?”
The Assassin Angel said:
“No, not Him.”
The Assassin Angel extended his right arm to Noland, releasing a purple veil:
“Come with me to Spinning Continent.”
Noland was suddenly enveloped by the veil, without any room to move.
He used “Mind Induction” to quickly instruct Denise and the others, and then followed the Assassin Angel through a black channel that appeared out of nowhere, leaving the sub-dimensional plane for the Natural World.
The place they emerged was on Island 33 of the Suman Archipelago, which was the default exit for the plane channel.
The Assassin Angel did not pause, immediately enveloping the two of them in the Veil of Different Worlds, and then shot up into the sky, heading for the distant Star Filtering Net in the heavens.
“Your Excellency, weren’t we supposed to go to Spinning Continent? Why are we flying upwards?” Noland Lee shouted out against the howling wind.
“We have to avoid the troublesome Lost Sea Fog.” The Assassin Angel simply explained, then increased the flying speed, quickly leading Noland Lee through the clouds.
Three thousand meters, six thousand meters, ten thousand meters, twenty thousand meters, the sky seemed to have no end.
It was not until the Suman Archipelago at their feet had completely shrunk to a pinpoint, and a half-shadow of the Kashel Continent emerged in the distance, that Noland Lee realized that the “planet” he was on was very strange.
By all accounts, flying to such a height should have carried them out of the atmosphere and directly into the Star Filtering Net.
Before Noland Lee could ponder what was going on, the Assassin Angel suddenly turned and dove down sharply, with Noland, towards the white whirlpool that appeared diagonally below them.
That white whirlpool was the Spinning Continent, around which there was a ring of floating islands constantly rotating at high speed around the central axis, with each island moving at a minimum speed of 400 kilometers per hour, enough to crush any unwelcome visitors.
However, if they moved straight down from directly above the Spinning Continent, they could easily avoid all the floating islands and arrive right in the center of Spinning Continent.
Noland’s pupils dilated slightly, reflecting the image of Spinning Continent, a layer of clouds like creamy foam, was spread above the center of Spinning Continent.
As Noland followed the Assassin Angel’s descent through the sky, this layer of “foam” split open in the middle, revealing a crack just large enough for two people to pass through, as if the owner of the area had been expecting their arrival and had waited by the door in advance.
“Hmm, my guess was not wrong; there is indeed an angel that has retained its complete memory, and has survived,” said the Assassin Angel.
“Are you saying there’s an angel hidden within the Spinning Continent?” asked Noland.
Flying beside Noland, the Assassin Angel turned his head and looked at him deeply:
“Yes. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have brought you here.”
“Me?” Noland’s breathing paused:
“Which angel is related to me?”
The Assassin Angel did not speak, but simply accelerated and flew through the crack in the white clouds, smoothly entering into the Spinning Continent.
Below the clouds, the world was so beautiful that Noland completely forgot about the conversation they just had.
As if there were no gravity, there were white trees, crystalline and translucent like carved alabaster, floating in the air everywhere.
And among these white trees, all less than two meters tall, thin strands of pale gold liquid floated slowly.
