Chapter 1374 (1/2)
Chapter 1374: 451. Virtual Reality_2
“I understand,” Noland Lee typed:
“So, you’re saying that all creatures and non-creatures conjured up could indeed be virtual creatures created by the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core, right? These virtual creatures serve as innumerable eyes through which the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core observes the objective world. Is that correct?”
“That’s mostly correct, but I need to correct one point,” “Command” typed, sending a chill through Noland’s heart:
“You might have underestimated the power of the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core.
“You just said that the virtual creatures we see could have been created by the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core. The word ‘could’ introduces an error and should be replaced with ‘definitely’.”
“Definitely?!” Noland’s heart skipped a beat:
“Are you saying that all virtual creatures we know of are created by the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core? Does that mean we are always under its observation?”
Upon further thought, Noland realized a problem and promptly asked:
“Wait, I think there’s an issue. Look, the ‘Wizard’ Plane Core definitely appeared after the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core. The ‘Wizard’ Plane Core has created many magical creatures that only appear in literature.
“According to what you just said, aren’t all these magical creatures created by the ‘Wizard’ Plane Core actually the handiwork of the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core? Would the ‘Wizard’ Plane Core be oblivious to this?
“In other words, if the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core could interfere with the creation of virtual creatures by other Plane Cores, wouldn’t it have unified all the Plane Cores by now?”
Noland patted his chest and continued:
“Look at me, the Plane Core behind me is definitely not ‘Virtual.’ Yet, I can still conjure virtual creatures and depict them in writing or drawing. How would you explain this?”
Noland’s questions seemed to be within “Command’s” expectations.
“Command” typed calmly:
“Yes, you are correct. However, the dominion of the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core over any virtual creature is predicated on the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core still being alive.”
Noland was taken aback and suddenly realized:
“Are you saying that the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core is dead?”
“Yes,” “Command” replied:
“When a Plane Core dies, its powers are dispersed into countless parts, shared among all living creatures. This includes Plane Cores that appeared later than ‘Virtual,’ such as the ‘Wizard’ Plane Core you mentioned. Of course, it includes you and me as well. The ‘Starry Sea’ game that I created also utilizes abilities shared by the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core.”
This was the first time Noland had heard about what happens when a Plane Core dies.
So, when a Plane Core dies, its powers become ‘public property,’ available for anyone to use.
It was hard to imagine what kind of powers would be shared by the many Plane Cores behind the Dark Deities if they were to die…
Noland furrowed his brows in thought.
“Command” guessed what he was thinking and added:
“The powers of a Plane Core are divided into core powers and general powers.
“The general powers from the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core enable living creatures to have the desire to create virtual creatures.
“Its core power is what drives creatures to modify reality, making real-world objects resemble virtual creatures, constructing bodies for virtual creatures in reality, and ultimately projecting virtual creatures into the real world.
“After a Plane Core’s death, only the general powers are shared, not the core powers.
“With ‘Virtual’ deceased, people only possess the desire to create virtual creatures, not the overpowering urge to project them into reality.”
Noland then nodded in understanding and looked at the first line of text that “Command” had typed, asking:
“Since the ‘Virtual’ Plane Core is already dead, why then would you say that the Plane Core behind the Metal Creation Group and the Metal Ancestor Dragon is it? Can a dead Plane Core still manipulate and scheme behind the scenes?”
“Command” was silent for a few seconds before typing:
