Chapter 1434 (1/2)
Chapter 1434: Ending 1: The Fire of No Regrets_6
In Noland Lee’s perception, players were continuously being taken by the Metal Ancestor Dragon, and without exception, they all rapidly flew towards the Staff Tip Black Hole in the Inner Cosmos.
About a minute later, the first player abducted by the Metal Ancestor Dragon had already entered the Inner Cosmos.
This player faced little resistance as he passed through the Star Filtering Net and plunged into the pitch-dark ocean.
His body and his soul kept falling until they finally reached the sunless ocean floor, ten thousand meters below.
A creature, one with the dark sea water, coiled around the player, stuffing him into its oral apparatus.
“Crunch crunch… glug glug…”
The sound of chewing reached Noland Lee’s ears through the soul connection.
The player’s soul was extracted from his body by mysterious forces, and after his flesh was shredded by some sharp oral apparatus, it was reconstituted into a new body by a viscous substance.
Fusing the new body with the player’s soul took some time.
During this process, the player would be “hung” on the ocean floor, waiting to awaken amidst the darkness and immense water pressure.
This must have been why, in the previous round, Cucumber Slice and the others, after being taken by the Metal Ancestor Dragon, woke up in the Inner Cosmos only after more than ten days.
Noland Lee followed one player after another to the ocean floor, undergoing this incomprehensible transformation process, gradually figuring out the situation at the seabed.
“The ocean floor is hiding helpers of the Metal Ancestor Dragon, roughly 50 in number, each with the ability to separate souls from bodies and to reassemble the players’ flesh after crushing it… What kind of monster is this?”
Noland Lee pondered to himself and typed a few lines of text onto the game interface with his thoughts, throwing the question to “Command” and the Assassin Angel.
The answer quickly surfaced.
It was an Ethereal Being, also capable of creating Soul Constructs, named “Chaos Synapse,” belonging to the Chaos faction.
Its body resembled an octopus and could disintegrate foreign objects to absorb soul energy and create Soul Constructs.
The gang of Chaos Synapse lurking at the ocean floor was very fragile.
They were temporarily unable to create Soul Constructs and could only learn the art by repeatedly decomposing the Soul Constructs of “Command.”
They disassembled and reassembled the players’ bodies as a form of “stealing skills.”
A line of purple text appeared on the game interface:
“I have noted the locations of these Chaos Synapse. I will send an avatar there shortly. I will take care of them.”
“Good,” Noland Lee nodded and looked towards the Allied Fleet.
In just a little while, more than 300 of the over 400 players had been abducted by the Metal Ancestor Dragon.
The resulting turmoil only caused ripples among the player community.
The crew members of the Allied ships around them seemed to have been disrupted at the level of thought, completely ignoring the players’ panicked screams.
