Chapter 1441 (1/2)
Chapter 1441: Ending 2: Supreme Self
“He actually came back…”
Noland Lee slowly awoke to the familiar starry sky, while beneath him was what seemed like a vacuum that somehow allowed one to lie flat and walk on an invisible surface.
“Hiss, huff~”
Noland slowly sat up, his right hand supporting him off the ground, his left arm bent and resting on his bent knee, languidly sitting on the ground without any rush to stand up.
He had been to this place a few times, so there was no need to be surprised.
Looking at those stars against the black cosmos, and then at the Magic Hut he had crafted with his own hands not far away, if Noland couldn’t even vaguely guess what was happening, that would be quite foolish.
He had always been in an illusion.
Always.
He had never woken up.
What about waking up to see theAssassin Angel and “Command”‘s clone beside him, helping to dispel the illusion.
Or discussing a plan to deal with the Metal Ancestor Dragon with theAssassin Angel.
Or disguising as a Player to sneak into the Inner Cosmos, passing through the Illusion Space, and pulling the lever to reset the Inner Cosmos.
All of these were false.
All just an illusion.
And not only that, like the times Noland was killed by Void Spears in the first illusion, or just now in the second illusion, burned to ash by Sacred Fire, these vivid deaths all were fake.
It’s precisely because all of these were fake that he could “rebirth” in this starry sky that was both unfamiliar and familiar after death.
To call it “rebirth,” Noland thought it felt more like a “reset.”
Upon his death, he would be reset by the illusion back to the starting condition.
This expanse of starry sky was a save point; die, and he would stand alone, returning here.
Unquestionably, this was a cycle, and at present, there seemed to be no way to break it.
As for the flame hovering at the Cane Tip Seat and the number “0” beside it, Noland thought they were a sort of button to initiate the next cycle.
If he touched the number “0,” everything would start over.
He would “wake up” again, “see” the Assassin Angel and the clone of “Command,” and then carry out a series of actions against the Extraterrestrial Eternity.
He would fail time and again, rebirth time and again, until his will wore down, his fighting spirit was lost, and he finally accepted the invincibility of the Extraterrestrial Eternity, joining them.
This was a conspiracy.
A conspiracy to force him to submit to the Extraterrestrial Eternity through an illusion.
Sadly, it seemed that he couldn’t break through the illusion based solely on his personal power.
Noland sighed silently and stood up from the ground.
