Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Criminals Cry, Xiangjiang City Cant Survive... (2/2)
“This kid is leaving so quickly, isn’t he afraid 1’11 steal his credit!” he thought.
With that in mind, the deputy team leader shook his head.
He then ushered the criminal into the car, saying, “Come on, get in and wait.”
“I believe your companions will join you soon!”
The criminal thought, “Officer, you don’t have to make it so obvious…”
This thought flashed through his mind for a moment, but soon he realized Su Xuan’s capabilities, and excitement filled his heart.
“What am 1 doing sitting here alone?” he wondered. “I need some company!”
Su Xuan was unaware of the deputy team leader’s thoughts. When he returned, the elderly man was still waiting for him.
Seeing him approach, the elderly man quickly stepped forward.
“Officer, the thief…”
“Don’t worry, sir. I’ve already handed the thief over to my colleague.”
“Is anything missing from your belongings? If something is, I can take you to my colleague, and he’ll help you make a statement…”
Before Su Xuan could finish his sentence, the elderly man waved his hand repeatedly. “Nothing’s missing, nothing’s missing!”
“Thank you, young comrade, for helping me!”
“You’re welcome.”
Su Xuan replied, and the elderly man checked the time. He had to catch his flight.
If Su Xuan hadn’t chased after the thief, he probably wouldn’t have waited here.
Seeing the elderly man’s anxious demeanor, Su Xuan didn’t want to detain him any longer.
Once the elderly man had taken the elevator and moved away, Su Xuan took a deep breath and activated the Sin Radar.
Let’s get started.
He cracked his knuckles, ready for action.
Lately, Su Xuan had been making significant moves, and many major criminals ended up behind bars thanks to him. Other criminals had become cautious, some even fleeing the airport upon hearing about a major operation underway.
Unfortunately for Su Xuan, he had stumbled upon two particularly frightened criminals. These two thieves had drawn his attention because they were sitting close to each other in an otherwise empty area, marked as two lonely red dots on his radar.
Intrigued by this, Su Xuan followed the direction of the red dots and found the two thieves sitting in the airport lounge, glancing around nervously. They seemed eager but hesitant, uncertain about taking action.
As Su Xuan approached, the two men remained engrossed in their quiet conversation, seemingly oblivious to his presence. However, their words were all about him.
“It seems like Xiangjiang City is getting too dangerous to stay,” one of the younger thieves remarked. “I heard they nabbed a bunch of guys on Line 3 just the other day.”
He patted his chest, relieved that he hadn’t been caught. “Luckily, I had an excuse to be at the hospital these past few days, getting an IV drip. When I came out, 1 heard they were busting thieves on the subway… It scared the hell out of me!”
“I wasn’t sick before, and I was even thinking about doing some more pickpocketing in the subway. Thank goodness I didn’t!”
Hearing this, the other thief, slightly older but still youthful, nodded solemnly. “Yeah, they’ve been cracking down hard lately. I don’t know what those anti-pickpocket teams have been up to, but they’ve been nabbing people left and right!”
“They’re catching dozens, maybe even hundreds, in a single day,” he continued. “Sooner or later, they’ll get us all. I’ve heard they even caught some big-shot thieves. We’re just small fry in comparison. If we don’t make a run for it soon, it might be too late.”
With that, the younger thief who had spoken initially slapped his thigh. “Who’s to say you’re not right? Bro, you mentioned that your hometown was a better place to steal, is that true?”
“Of course!” the older thief replied confidently. “If it weren’t for my buddy here, I wouldn’t have come to this place in the first place. But a few days ago, my buddy got caught too. I had to find a new spot.”
“You’re better off sticking with me….”
