The fact that Lin Yazhi was in the same house did give him a pause.

Nevertheless, Lu Zhaoyang had proven that she would do anything to get away from him. He was done waiting!

He bent down to give a hickey her neck. She had aroused him and there was no way she could get away with it!

Lu Zhaoyang felt pain in her neck and tilted her head.

She panted heavily as his arm tightened around her waist. It felt like he was trying to engulf her whole.

“Listen, someone’s crying downstairs…”

She heard sobbing from below and tried to convince him to stop.

“Since when does Huo Xu cry like that?”

He thought it sounded more like Lin Yazhi, and he did not care about her.

“Did you come with Huo Li? What did he do to Yazhi?! Stop touching me!”

Lu Zhaoyang got agitated and stomped on him.

“Then tell me when! When will you let me?” Huo Yunting hissed by her ear, sounding almost desperate.

… She must have heard that wrong!

“Let’s talk about it later, I’m sure we can work it out. Don’t be stubborn, okay?”

She had to give him hope, otherwise he would never let her go.

Finally, his grip loosened. Lu Zhaoyang slipped out of his arms and rushed downstairs.

There, she saw Lin Yazhi on the sofa, drying her tears with tissue as she binged on potato chips.

After listening to her account of what happened, Lu Zhaoyang laughed and even playfully teased her friend about it.
