“I just said I would support you, not marry you.” Lu Bai scorned with his back to her.

“You are really pathetic; it was just a joke. Anyway, thank you for today!” Yan Se shot him a glance.

If it were not for him steering the car into the guardrail while guarding her head and upper body, the truck would have hit them head-on and she would not just walk away with a simple concussion.

The doctor and nurses had left after checking on them, and now, there were only two of them in the ward.

They were supposed to sleep but Yan Se could not because the anesthetic had lapsed. She felt extremely uncomfortable because she could not roll her body with her plastered leg raised.

“Lu Bai…” She suddenly switched the bedside lamp on. “I need to go to the toilet.”

Lu Bai sat up and looked at her right leg.

Yan Se was instantly anxious. “Don’t look me like this. It’s just the call of nature!”

“Carry me up.”

“With only one hand? Please don’t overestimate me by underestimating your weight. I’d better call the nurses.” He raised his hand to press the bell while speaking. He would request to be transferred to another room tomorrow as this woman was troublesome.

“You are quite the gentleman. I am only going to the toilet, not molesting you.” Yan Se chuckled. But when the lipstick in the car came to mind, she found it hard to smile.
