“Okay, I understand!”

At that moment, back in the office, Lu Zhaoyang sneezed.

She looked at the time and decided to call her son to check things out.

“Yangyang, are you finished with your work?” Xuxu’s young and innocent voice came through the speaker. “I’m at a dessert shop with Uncle Yunting, we’re buying you a chocolate cake —”

The boy looked up at his tall uncle as he spoke. Abruptly, he realized something and put a hand over his mouth. Regret flashed in his eyes.

He had told his mother about their surprise by accident! Oh no!

“Thank you dear. Listen to Uncle Yunting and don’t leave his side.”

Lu Zhaoyang smiled weakly. No wonder they were not back yet.

“I will!” Xuxu ended the call and pulled at Huo Yunting’s pants despondently. “Uncle, how about we change to strawberry flavour?”

Huo Yunting sympathized with his conundrum. He picked the boy up and chuckled at his proposed solution.

“Don’t worry, we’ll buy both.”

Lu Zhaoyang finally got off from work at seven in the evening. Huo Yunting had called her earlier to inform her that he was sending Xuxu straight to his house!

She had no choice but to go to his place.

Huo Yunting had invited them for dinner before.

However, she had slipped away before they entered the house last time.

As she drove her way to his mansion, a bright crescent moon rose slowly to the starry night sky.

The gate to the mansion opened up to her. She honked to signal them before she parked her car.

“Yangyang! Yangyang is here!”
