He seemed to have lost some weight, which made his profile look more hardened.

Upon hearing the question, he replied detachedly, “Let things go back to the way it was before.”

“By that, do you mean you will never see each other again?”

“Yes.”

“May I then ask, Officer Huo, if you have divorced Ms Wen?” The anchorwoman asked.

“No.”

Huo Chen’s eyes looked unfocused despite looking straight into the camera.

“I have scheduled for us to sign the divorce papers the day after tomorrow.”

The anchorwoman nodded. “I’m going to ask this one more question, but you do not have to answer it, Officer Huo.” She paused before continuing, “Do you still love her?”
