Inside a clean, minimalistically renovated hall, a group of men gathered by the table with Eric sitting on the “chairman” seat smoking a Padron. The spice gave him excitement but it was no match for the upcoming successful development of his business in Country Z.
“Sir, the young master is here.”
“Get him in!” Unlike how the other guests at whom Eric casually waved upon arrival, this young master in his dark suit got Eric stood up and rushed to the door.
Eric smiled gleefully as he reached out his hand, “Good day. I never really expected the family to be led by such a young and talented fellow, as said by people in Country Z, the brilliant is found plenty among youths.”
The handsome young master did not even bother to take a look at him, “Thanks.” The tone was flat as he headed to the hall, ignoring Eric.

Eric’s cheek twitched in fury but he quickly disguised it with his smile.
“Have a seat, everyone,” invited Eric as he beamed at fellow guests and gestured at the exquisite wine and premium cigars on the alloy table, “Be my guest.”
Through the glasses tinted in sea blue, he thanked the guests with a pressuring tone, “Thank you all of you for joining this prestigious occasion tonight. It’s an honor to have all formidable forces underground here.”
“Don’t have to be so formal, Mr. Eric.”
“Yes, it’s an honor for us to work with you.”

The guests responded agreeably except Jiang Yiyuan, the young master and his fellow henchmen of the other companies. Eric had won over the hearts of most guests upon having them informed of his influence in America. Clearly, if they assisted Eric in establishing himself within Country Z, they would flourish.
Jiang Yiyuan snorted upon seeing the goofy faces of the other guests and that subtly proud look of Eric and lit up his own cigarette.
