32 Back home painful (1/2)

”Security, hold my daughter and I want two men to escort this young man home.”
As he walkes down the long corridor, Adam, who had promised himself to remain firm and unshakeable, nevertheless feels his heart becoming painful when he met Jessica, whose sad eyes did not leave him. He takes it upon himself not to smile at her, to go to her and comfort her. Not wanting to give in and not forgetting Jessica's actions, he turnes his eyes away from the girl who shoutes at him to stay close to her, then continued on his way out surrounded by two men wider than Meg's apartment door.
Once in the garden, he thinks he's hallucinating when he saw more than 100 men in military fatigues and armed with assault rifles. One of the security guards sighes as he explained that their young miss this time used the great means by employing an entire mercenary agency for two days so that no one would disturb her. Adam sometimes wonders what's going on in Jessica's head and again tonight, this is the case when he hears the words of the security guard himself disillusioned by his young miss whose nonsense causes them more and more serious trouble.
As he approaches the small parking lot near the guard post located near the main entrance of the property, Adam is amazed by the number of people who came (to support him). In addition to a lot of of barely pubescent girls, octogenarians have sat on the ground and improvised a belote tournament, while some men who had the brilliant idea of bringing their barbecue, roast sausages and sell them to the public.
Is his abduction an opportunity for a community meeting? A kind of improvised countryside celebration in the open air? And above all, where is the refreshment bar? Before the safety officer in charge of driving even had time to open the driver's side door, Adam hears a recognizable voice.
”Unworthy son, so you were in New York all this time? You'll see what kind of spanking your mother's is going to put you when you get home.”
Adam, who was quietly living his life with Meg, had forgotten what it was like to get slapped on the buttocks, but right now, flashes from the past are passing through his head and making him shiver. He sees his mother's hand crashing down on his butt, while he begges her to stop his barbarity.” In the darkness of the night, only lightened by a few scattered streetlights, Adam is afraid.
”Roy, come home with us, I'm too worried to be apart from you for one more minute.”
Meg, what can I do? On one side the woman who is certainly the sweetest person in the world and on the other side, his mother with iron hands who's mad at his butt. Once again, Meg's voice reaches Adam who knows that no matter what happens, he will get his beating.
”Excuse me, gentlemen, but my mother and girlfriend came to get me, so I'm going home with them.”
The gorilla man in black is a little shared. His orders are clear, but this young man was held captive and leaving with his mother is the best solution. However, if this young man goes out that way, he will be harassed by the festive troupe that has invaded the area. After a short reflection, like an older brother, he places his hand on Adam's shoulder.
”Show me who your mother, kid and I'll tell her to pick you up at the back exit. On our side, we will at least lead you to that point and then we can say that we have complied with the orders we have received.”
