95 The New Leader. (1/2)

Irvin was stupefied since managing a whole organization was not something small at all!

He was going to ask questions about this organization of his, but before he could voice out his thoughts, he noticed Haley glaring at him again.

Her glares translated as, ”If you so much as denied even a single request, you're dead!”

”What is this organization about?”- He quickly changed the previous questions that he had in his mind into more of a fitting one.

”It is about collecting information and doing every odd task for me.”- Ozul explained while looking out of the window, on the scene which depicted one of the man's original sin, lust.

”And how big is this organization, where is it located? Moreover, what is the name?”- Irvin started bombarding the questions.

”Oh, that? Well, it's up to you.”

”Up to me? What do you mean?”- The old man could not understand what Ozul was trying to say.

”The organization hasn't been built yet... You have to build it.”- Ozul gave a pause in the middle so Irvin could understand each of his words.

”WHAT!?”

*Smack!*

”Lower your volume! What are you shouting for!?”- Haley again gave a smack to Irvin.

”But!... but...”- Irvin wanted to say something in his defense but stopped midway remembering the earlier smacks.

*Sigh...*

”...You mean to say that I not only have to manage but also have to build this organization of yours from scratch. Did I get it right, brat *cough...* I mean, young man?”

Irvin corrected himself at the end of his sentence, noticing the hand of Haley that was ready to come his way anytime.

”Hm... You got it right, old man.”- Ozul replied without caring about the annoyance that was almost written on Irvin's face when he replied so straightforwardly.

Ozul was basically asking Irvin to do everything for him! Only the word 'Slave' was not spoken openly. Otherwise, it wasn't anything different from that.

Hence, it resulted in Irvin being annoyed to no end with the way Ozul was 'asking' him to do it.

With the way Ozul was not even looking at him, it made him think that the kid didn't even care for his answer.

”It was all for this, wasn't it?”- Though Irvin may have aged, he still remembered the ins and outs of such matters.

”Yes. It was...”- Ozul did not lie or try to make some excuse since he did not care if Irvin knew or not.

Irvin finally understood what Ozul had meant by, 'I am interested in these people.' when killing Drom.

From the start, Ozul had an eye on him. This thought gave him shivers as such foresight was not something that he had imagined from a teenager!

”So, will you do it... or not?”

Though it sounded like a question, these words brought pressure to Irvin, who had already recovered his Rank-8 Mage powers.

However, using only his words to cause his knees to go weak was not something a Rank-8 Mage could do to another one on the same level!

Then as if he had just remembered something, Irvin looked probingly at Ozul. He silently used a Spell that he had created specifically for analyzing his opponents.

The results again caused him to have a setback since no matter how much he tried, the kid before him showed signs of being neither a Fighter nor a Mage.

'Just what is he... He can't be a Rank-9 Mage at such a young age! It's just impossible! Wait... why am I only judging his age by his appearance!'-

Irvin contemplated for a while in his mind and concluded that Ozul was actually a Senior that was above Rank-8 and only looked like a teenager.

And now, when he thought about Ozul being a Senior, all of his behavior made sense to him. No teenager could be so decisive and calm while dealing with matters.

It also made sense as to why he could not find any traces of him being a Mage or a Fighter.

After 'realizing the truth', Irvin 'understood' that this 'Senior' before him just wanted a lackey to do small stuff for him.

Though he was ready to accept Ozul's 'request' even before his 'realization', Irvin was more than happy to be working under someone of a higher rank than him.

The thought of working under someone more powerful than him would help Irvin maintain his self-esteem.

”I will do it, Senior!”- Irvin said in a respectful tone. His attitude took a 360-degree turn after 'realizing the truth'.

Both Ozul and Haley looked at Irvin weirdly. However, they did not bother to ask what brought the change.
