92 You Suck at Acting. (1/2)

”Hey! Samora is back!”

The shout of a man sounded out in the alleys, but there was no one in sight.

Though others weren't able to see anyone, Ozul had already perceived the tens of eyes focused on him.

However, he did not stop, and the group of them walked for a while before they arrived near a seemingly old house.

If the house were compared to any other in the vicinity, there wouldn't be any difference at all. Only an old grumpy man with a cigarette in his mouth and holding a candle over a newspaper sat near the door.

When they arrived before the guy, he looked up from the newspaper and grumbled a little when he saw the woman.

”Lass! You're late. Boss has been getting impatient! And where is that Drom idiot!? More importantly, who are they?”- The grumpy guy began to ask questions on questions.

The woman who someone had called Samora before wanted to reply, but the cold feeling on her neck forced her to keep quiet.

”... Just open the door, Dem.”-

The grumpy old guy referred to as Dem pressed something near him, which gave a click sound before unlocking the door of the house.

As the group walked passed him, Dem started mumbling to himself before he started reading the newspaper under the light of a candle again.

”...Hmph! Youngsters these days... don't even show respect to elders...”

The old guy Dem's mumblings were entirely ignored as the group entered the house.

The view inside the house was completely different. Men and women of various ages walked here and there doing their stuff.

Everyone was too busy with their tasks to care about the new arrivals—everyone, except for a particular group that had all of their eyes fixed on them.

Even when the woman named Samora had arrived at her turf, she did not dare to make any rash move on impulse since the needle was still right behind her neck.

”Just take me to the guy already.”- Ozul said, already bored with the situation. This Samora woman was just taking too long.

”O-okay, okay!”- Samora hurriedly replied, fearing that he might kill her any time since he had already arrived at the place.

However, just as they were about to walk forward, a group consisting of mostly Fighters stood before them.

”You were not supposed to bring them here, Samora.”- One of the men from the group spoke up.

”Huh!? Do I need your permission? And tell me where the boss is. It's urgent.”- Samora replied with disdain apparent in her tone.

The man who had spoken up instantly shut up as he was aware of Samora's sadistic nature.

After the short 'conversation', Ozul and the old couple walked into the complex building, followed by the earlier group of Fighters.

The people walking around them minded their own business. Most of them were just ordinary humans, and they seemed to only work in collecting information.

It seemed that even without that Bafon guy being only a Rank-6 Mage, he had built a sold organization.

'Makes my work much easier, nice...'

After a few turns around the web-like structure, the group arrived before two big doors.

Samora did not hesitate to open the door and enter, followed by Ozul and the old couple. Meanwhile, the group of Fighters stopped at the entrance.

Not everyone could just enter the office of their boss. In fact, their boss disliked when people disturbed his peace even for essential reasons.

The room was the office of Bafon, the leader of this organization which collected information around the Capital City.

In the office, a man well over 6 meters tall stood by the window which opened on the other side of the 'house'. The view showed him of an area that would be lively only at night time—the red light district.

He had a cup of tea in his hands as he sipped from time to time. Bafon looked towards the door when he heard the creaking noise.

Just as the door had closed after the couple entered, Samora did not hold back and began to shout for help.

She thought that since Ozul was now in the presence of a Rank-6 Mage, he would not be so arrogant and wouldn't dare to do anything to her.

”Boss! This pretty boy forced me to take-”

*Thud*

Before she could finish, though, she just fell straight on the floor.

Ozul had no further need for that woman. Moreover, he hated people who had such a high pitched voice.

”Annoying.”

Even Irvin and Haley were a little shocked to see Ozul acting so boldly before the Rank-6 Mage, Bafon.
