24 Attack. (1/2)
Walking through the gate, Raven's expression turned colder by the second. She was mature for her age. So, she figured out the culprit.
”It is that Viscount, isn't it?”- Raven turned around to look at Ozul.
”Presumably.”- Ozul showed no fluctuations in his voice, but Raven knew that he was annoyed.
”Will we not do anything about it?”- Raven wanted nothing more than to butcher that Noble! She had come to hate every Noble after realizing that they might be the reason for her village's destruction.
”No, we will strike back.”- It was a simple answer, but more than enough for Raven to calm down. Ozul then continued
”Rest, we will leave at night.”-
Hearing that they will strike back at night, Raven was stunned. It seemed as though Ozul was pissed.
But she did not complain, and after fixing a thing or two, she collapsed on the couch. Ozul did not need any rest, because today he barely did anything. Instead, he was thinking some things through.
'Viscount, huh. Only the Count is above him in the Azmar City. And it is common knowledge among people that they are not on good terms.'
'Furthermore, the Viscount is only a Rank-5 Mage, and he is the strongest in his household. If he does not have any support from the Count, then it will be easy.'
'The Count is a Rank-6 Mage, and I can't deal with someone like him. It will be troublesome only if the Viscount is also a Rank-5 Fighter.'- Ozul does not talk that much, but inside his mind, he plans everything.
The thing is, Ozul can take all of the Viscount's household alone just because of his advantage—Ball of Purity.
No one can see the Black substance in the middle of the night! And Ozul can also change the Ball of Purity into the gaseous state; most people would fail to notice anything.
Now imagine what will happen when you least expect it, your shadow kills you? Furthermore, Ozul can disperse the Ball of Purity anytime he wants and reproduces it from within.
In simple words, Ozul is godlike when present in dark surroundings!
. . .
Hours passed, and the night came.
Ozul could also not leave Raven behind. What if when he is away, some other people come here? He can't take any chances.
He had bought two black kitsune masks to cover both his and Raven's faces. If they are recognized, they can just leave the City. But Ozul preferred to avoid the trouble of moving between places.
Anyways, both Raven and Ozul leaped through the buildings in the middle of the night. Raven had already become a Rank-1 Fighter with the help of the pills. So, for the most part, she could keep up with Ozul.
They would hardly see any people on the streets. But nearing the Viscount's Manor, things were not so quiet.
Ozul would have to infiltrate the clan as quietly as possible, and killing the outer guards will only make a commotion.
They went around the front and arrived at the left side of the outer walls. Ozul and Raven only had the advantage of surprise, and they did not want to lose it. So, they invaded the estate as silently as possible.
Now inside, they just have to kill as many as possible! They entered the building's corridors. Some guards stationed there were alerted.
”Hey! Who are you, and how did you enter in here!?”- One of the guards yelled loudly.
But before they could do anything, a single, pitch-black needle tore a hole through their heads, and they fell like chickens on the floor.
No sound came from the corridor, except for Ozul and Raven's footsteps.
They did not care about the corpses on the floor as they marched forwards. A gigantic hall came into their view after the corridor. Only two guards stood at the main entrance to the room.
Only a single light crystal in the middle illuminated the hall. Ozul decided to destroy it first and then create a commotion here.
The guards noticing the two weird intruders decided to sound the alarm. Just under a minute, tens of people surrounded the area!
Ozul did not move from his position. He wanted to ask something to the Viscount.
After another minute or so, from the stairs came down a man in his mid-forties. He wore a red robe befitting of a noble and walked with long strides.
As he arrived, everyone present bowed their heads except for a teen boy who looked like the son of the Viscount. The teen looked just as arrogant as his now-dead brother.
