686 It Works This Way?! (2/2)

”I'll go take a look around. You guys watch here,” Hong Dali said.

The fight continued. Herazl suddenly shouted, ”Humans, you're very strong. You actually managed to break through my barrier. But that's nothing. Ice elves dancing in the air, I summon you. Punish these blasphemous humans!”

”Blizzard! It's a blizzard!” Perched on Hong Dali's shoulder, Tang Long exclaimed in surprise, ”He is just a City-level boss, but he is able to use this skill!”

”Eh? Blizzard? What is that?” Hong Dali looked over curiously.

At this time, Fang Han also noticed that something was not right and shouted loudly, ”Run! Everybody, quickly run!”

Soon, the top of the palace rumbled. Freezing winds and snow descended from the sky. Numerous ice bolts rained down and ricocheted within the Frost Palace. The temperature plunged and anyone who was caught by the blizzard froze in two seconds.

”Wow! It's so powerful!” Hong Dali watched, stunned. ”This move is super cool!”

They were just watching and did not feel the force of the attack, but Fang Han and the others who were in the battle were having a hard time. With just one move, another one thousand and five or six hundred people died.

By then, there were only about three hundred people left. All of these people had relatively higher attributes and ran faster. Everyone else who had lower attributes was dead.

”Damn, if we had any martial arts secret manual, even a low level one, it would be enough to end this fellow.” Fang Han said vehemently, ”Unfortunately, we have not been able to find any martial arts secret manuals! Damn it!”

There were only about three hundred people left. Although Herazl had just unleashed a big move and was in a weakened state, the ground was covered in ice and snow so it was not easy for Fang Han and his group to advance.

During that ten seconds or so when Herazl was in a weakened state, Fang Han and the others managed to get to a distance of about twenty meters from Herazl. However, by this time, Herazl had recovered!

”It's over.” Seeing that there was a new wave of ice bolts, Fang Han gave up completely.

There was no way to win.

The palace was not very large. That one big move by Herazil covered 90% of the area and it was mobile. Unless the entire legion had practiced martial arts secret manuals, there was no way to counter it. Once you got caught in the blizzard, you'd die. How were they supposed to play?!

Soon, the remaining three hundred people in Fang Han's team fell like cut wheat. Fang Han himself was barely holding on. At the last moment, Fang Han turned to look at Hong Dali and was just going to tell him to gather back in town when he saw something that stunned him.

Everything started simple enough.

Hong Dali was naturally restless, so he followed the wall and wandered around. Before long, he found a handle on the wall and a bunch of keys nearby.

There was a door!

Since there was a door, it should be opened. Out of curiosity, Hong Dali opened it.

That was when things got exciting…

It was a big group of forest elves! More than two thousand of them!

When the prison gates of such a large group of forest elves were opened, they suddenly rushed out. Some nocked their bows and drew their arrows, some cast spells to dispel the cold. There were some who thawed everyone out. After just a minute or so, most of the three thousand people Fang Han brought had recovered!

”It works like that?!” Fang Han was so surprised his jaw almost hit the ground. ”I wondered how come we lost tens of thousands of people and we still cannot kill the ice mage. We had to cooperate with the forest elves that have been locked up! God!”

”This… this must be a joke?!” Tang Long was shocked as well. ”You… it works like that?!”

Hong Dali sniffled and smiled. ”Ah, I find that my luck is not bad. When we entered the forest, I heard the elf's pleas for us to save her companions, so I wondered, where could they be? And I really found them…”
