108 Guilty, But No Regrets (2/2)
So instead, he acted grateful and friendly. The least he could do was to make sure that there was no bad blood between them aside from the fact that she needed to keep his injury a secret.
Their interaction was really reserve. She was the silent type and seemed to understand that asking him about what happened was not a good idea.
They had a keen understanding to keep things simple. She will help Zang Fang recover while he would eventually return the favor. The apartment has two rooms, and because of that, there was no need to interact much. Aside from helping him, change the bandage of his wound or giving him food.
Some days she would give him a bottle do alcohol to drink, despite his wounds. Which he accepts but don't drink at all. She was drunk sometimes and thought that Zang Fang was harmless.
After a couple more days, he could already leave. Zang Fang was reluctant. That was the same night when she arrived in the apartment smelling like alcohol again.
Who knows what possessed him, but Zang Fang had not hesitated. He had taken advantage of her. Zang Fang felt like an asshole, especially when he realized that he was a virgin. Yes, he is a bastard to take advantage of a drunken woman who saved his life. He deserves to be roasted like a pig.
He felt guilty for doing it at a very wrong time. Zang Fang felt so guilty to the point of embarrassment when the next morning, she'd left the apartment before he woke up. Her scent had been on his pillows, and her underwear still on the floor of the room.
Zang Fang did not know how to face her, because though he felt guilty, he did not regret it. The only thing that he could probably regret did not know her full name. She never wanted him to know, after all.
The same day, he left that apartment, but she never left his life.
He had called Suzuki Kyou the same day, asking for help. Zang Fang knew that the one who stabbed him was sent by an enemy. That was the reason why he needed to lay low.
Knowing this, Zang Fang also realized that he needed to stay away from her, else her life would be in danger.
Thankfully, Suzuki Kyou had helped him hide somewhere to recover for a couple more days before he was sent back home overseas using the Suzuki Corp private jet. Zang Fang had dealt a lot of things when he got home, distracting him from the girl's memory.
Then, Suzuki Kyou demanded for him to go to the overseas resort and supervise the construction. Zang Fang had gone hoping he'd be back in a week after sorting things out with the rest of the resort crew. He'd not expected his foreman to be reckless with the project funds, the one week he was expecting turned into a month.
