89 Bargaining Chip (1/2)
She knew some men hated for their women to be taller than them. 'Suzuki Kyou isn't like them, though.' For her, he could not be compared to other men. 'It was also the exact reason why it takes a lot of effort to win his heart.' Wang Jin thought before shoving the bitterness away.
Wang Jin could not help but frown when she remembered another man that she doesn't want to even think about. 'You are just as crazy as him.' A voice inside her head whispered. 'No!' She refused to accept it.
She needed to calm her thoughts down. After deep breaths, Wang Jin waltzed out of her walk-in closet back into the room and wondered if she should text Suzuki Kyou to keep him updated. Wang Jin grinned at the idea.
Suzuki Kyou didn't need to know about her slightly crazy tendencies, so she will be very patient, Wang Jin decided. She was just about to leave the room when she realized she hadn't gotten the most important part of her information for Suzuki Kyou. The manga.
Yes, that secret inside the manga is her most important bargaining chip.
She had read part of it and was absolutely delighted by the amount of power and information Han Jie had given her with that one contact. Wang Jin snatched some pages from a carefully printed out manga. She only needed a few implicating pages, after all, and left the room.
Wang Jin strolled down the stairs and into her impersonal living room and picked up her cellphone. She immediately texted Suzuki Kyou, not bothering to sit just in case she wrinkled her trouser.
'I am ready to go out and see ya,' Wang Jin texted Suzuki Kyou, a small bright smile lurking on her face. She did not get a reply immediately.
Wang Jin frowned and texted him again. When he finally replied, she smiles triumphantly.
She dropped the cellphone and the file that contained the manga before looking around her living room. Wang Jin had liked her apartment, but it hadnt been meant for her. It had been just a temporary place for her to rest her head and gather herself before she moved in with Suzuki Kyou.
Wang Jin smiled at the sparsely decorated room. Wang Jin decided to put the house on the market whenever she could come back from her actual home.
The proceeds for the house would go to her wedding trousseau. It would be a special gift to herself.
Wang Jin grinned again before picking up her cellphone, the file, and her designer glasses before leaving the house. She broke as many speed limits as she could without getting caught to get to Suzuki Kyou's location. In truth, she would prefer if they would not meet up in his house. The recent incident still made her feel embarrassed.
Wang Jin remembered the house as a three-bedroom bungalow, small and blended in with the other houses along the street. Wang Jin's lips twisted in disgust. It wasn't even in a gated community.
'How could one so rich live in poverty?' Wang Jin asked in disgust before getting out of her car. She was going to have to break him out of such habits, Wang Jin thought, brooding as she pressed the doorbell.
A small old woman in a stern-looking black dress opened the door. The woman was the oldest staff and had also welcomed Wang Jin courteously when she visited the previous nights.
'What is her problem?' Wang Jin thought with a frown. The way the old woman was treating her was completely different from how Wang Jin was welcomed the last time. 'Did this old woman got a punishment from letting me in?' She guessed, and it was not that hard to do so.
”Miss Wang,” The old woman greeted expressionlessly, clearly displeased with her.
With an eye roll Wang before pushing past the old woman and walked into the house, ”Where is Kyou?” She impatiently asked as she stood in the living room and removed her glasses.
”You ate already Miss Wang?” The housekeeper asked, her lips pressed into a stern line of disapproval.
”Were you expecting anybody else?” Wang Jin asked rudely cocking an elegantly drawn eyebrow at the housekeeper. She has no patience towards people that were obviously against her.
”He's in his library.” The housekeeper said shortly and began to walk away from Wang Jin.
”Did I dismiss you?” Wang Jin called out after the housekeeper, her eyes blazing in anger. 'How dare the help disrespect me?' She thought in anger as she vowed to replace this old woman as soon as she married Suzuki Kyou.
The housekeeper turned and raised one eyebrow in question. ”Miss Wang, do you still need anything?” She asked monotonously.
”How dare you act with such insolence?” Wang Jin began before Suzuki Kyou cut in from somewhere behind her.
”That's enough. You are not here to argue with my staff.” Suzuki Kyou said coldly.
Wang Jin whirled, ready to spit before calming herself. She wouldn't let the housekeeper ruin her day for her.
”Hello darling,” Wang Jin said softly, a small seductive smile on her face. She then walked slowly towards him, hoping to get close as much as possible.
”Don't move.” He said at Wang Jin disapprovingly, before he looked at the old woman, ”You can leave, thank you.” Suzuki Kyou said, ignoring Wang Jin as he spoke to the housekeeper.
