Lu Xinyi left him, hurried in the kitchen to make some snacks for the visit, and tidied up her whole place before coming back into the dining room.

Then her eyes fell on Yu Youhan who was in front of her typing on his laptop and munching on her baked chocolate chips and caramel delights that she had kept on the table just a while ago for Yin Lin.

”Why did you eat these?!” She exclaimed taking them from the table. The jar had only eight or nine maximum cookies left from the two batches she backed!

”My new girlfriend made them for me so why wouldn't I eat them, ” His eyes widened consciously and he dramatically pursed his lips, ”Unless they were for 'someone' else…”

Lu Xinyi who didn't see through his playfulness, shook her head vehemently, ”Nonsense! They were for you but you shouldn't eat these many because…because now you will have a stomach ache!”

She placed the cookie plate down irritated with him and held him by his burly arm trying to pull him up. She tried once and then twice before dropping it and huffing, ”Why haven't you left for the office yet. Quickly leave or you will be late!”

He got up and stalked toward her, cornering her. Taking a lock of her silky hair he rolled it around his finger, ”Baby girl, I am the boss. I can't be late.”

She was too distracted by his moment on her hair to notice much but then her head snapped to him, ”Then…” She paused to think, ”Then what kind of example will you give to your subordinates if you are late and still smug about it? Huh?” she crossed her arms on her chest snootily.

Inside she was panicking. If he is still here when Yin Lin comes she will feel unwelcome. It would be like telling her indirectly that she was dropping in unannounced! Yin Lin will see him here she will freak out and will surely be uncomfortable!

But what if she decided, she didn't want to visit her anymore?!

He smirked at her obvious way to make him go but decided to tease her a little, ”I…”

His phone rang then, making him curse. He stepped away from her grudgingly. He frowned and saw his Assistant name flash, irked he snapped, ”What?”

”Sir, Mr. Zhang is here for your first meeting…” He hang up and turned to Lu Xinyi who just shrugged at him in a 'I told you so' way and munched on the cookies.

He kissed her cheeks and murmured in her hair, ”Luck is on your side.” She swatted her hand in the air in a nonchalant way ”I will be back for diner.”

She held his arm and asked in apprehension, ”W..Why? I mean shouldn't you take me on a date first?”

He thought before nodding, ”Then be prepared to go on a date.”

She waved him farewell still confused at what she had agreed on, from her seat as she couldn't wait for him to be out of the door. Munching on her cookies that were no way close to servable now she scrolled through her phone to order some snacks when a notification popped on her phone.

Big Senior Sister: Come down.

Her eyes widened and she at once followed him out. He was already in the elevator that was about to be closed. She hopped right in without a care in the world.

”Where are you going?” She heard his surprised tone. She bit her tongue and thought of a reason why she had run a marathon like a retard.

Slowly, she turned around toward him with a wide smile, ”I am…Umm” She looked at the mirror to see her attire. Bugs Bunny pajamas with a loose shirt… her eyes turned down to her fluffy slippers and she internally groaned.

Way to make an impression! She totally looked like a freak…

Clearing of throat got her out of her self-pity, she looked up to see Yu Youhan standing above her with a frown still waiting for a response. She blurted out the first thing that came to her mind, ”I am showing you out. Yes, that's what I am doing.”
