260 The White And Black King On the Chess Board (1/2)
He was rather amused, his little minx was playing tricks with him. He didn't even need to be there to know the little minx was planning to get back on him which he was anticipating. She didn't trust him not by miles. She was a smart and cautious woman, who knew the ropes.
The corner of his lip tilted up almost in ridicule than amusement. He tsk-ed at the irony.
The people in the room felt like their souls were about to evaporate from their bodies. Their Boss was smiling and he was talking readily with pleasure to a…woman? And home? did he mean a woman who lived in his home?! A Wife?!
He wanted the woman bad, with a burning passion. If it was another woman she would have been unfortunate to have him fallen for her in this obsession. He would have pushed the woman in the corner, ruined her.
But it was her, no matter how much he f*cks up her life, it can never match up to how much she has f*cked it up already. Now he just had to manipulate the situation a little.
She was like him, his kindred soul. Any woman who burns and scorches in the passion of his flames would be ruined but his little Raven burned with the same passion. She was his match, his twin soul twined in his very being. His Queen.
She was gold scattered on the sand on a hot summer day with the scorching sun above the horizon, just she wasn't fortunate enough to have washed away with water instead she caught his eye.
The eerie silence was peculiar at its peak. The hostility leaving him was downright governing the room but there was some depthless amused lightness to him. Like anything could be forgiven, anything could be foreseen.
But strangely his cause of delight was a mystery to every other man in the conference room. His associates would give him glances then would look down in fear of catching his wrath in the price of their curiosity. Their Boss mood was strange…cheerful and it was creepy looking at this particular man in such cheerfulness.
Past four months, all his employees had been on the edge of their seats. He had fired the count of men that weren't even hired in the last ten years. He had been working till dinner times so has all his employees.
They have all covered the leverage for the next three years at the least. Nobody was ready to come face to face with the Devil and who was unlucky to, saw the depths of the abyss but today it was like their was Boss another person. A happy person!?
Happy…for f*ck's sake he even returned the greeting of the security who looked like Grim Reapers demanded their souls. One of them even fainted!
All this looseness in his attitude looked like a trap…a creepy death trap. His employees were sweating and heaving with frantic flailing eyes.
He could defy the world and stand victor. In this man line of sight, things were his way or no way. He was leading the world of snake and vultures better than the five generations before him led with a swag of his own.
But his playfulness and the gentle look in his eyes when he was on the phone threw him off. He was the King, ruthless and callous, who the world bent to and he was bending to a woman.
Some chauvinist would ridicule it but he could see the clout behind the man, the woman was one piece of art to have the feral Alpha Wolf following her like a lost puppy.
”I assume the receiver of your call was the girl in question.” He declared without a hint of interrogation, he was certain of his statement, somehow.
Li Yuan wasn't hiding his affection from anyone. It was an ominous sign of territory and a declaration of a threat to anyone challenging otherwise in his domain. A warning to him to stop his dogs on her tail.
After months of him trying to navigate the two men, Li Yuan and Yu Youhan, he finally managed to get a meeting with one of them.
