The corner of his lip tilted up almost in ridicule than amusement. He tsk-ed at the irony.

The people in the room felt like their souls were about to evaporate from their bodies. Their Boss was smiling and he was talking readily with pleasure to a…woman?

He wanted the woman bad, with a burning passion. If it was another woman she would have been unfortunate to have him fallen for her. He would have pushed any woman in the corner, ruined her.

But it was her, no matter how much he f*cks up her life, it can never match up to how much she has f*cked it up already. Now he just had to manipulate the situation a little.

She was gold in scattered on the sand on a hot summer day with the scorching sun above the horizon, just she wasn't fortunate enough to have washed away with water instead she caught his eye.

The eerie silence was peculiar on its peak. The hostility leaving him was downright governing the room but there was some depthless amused lightness to him. Like anything could be forgiven, anything could be foreseen.

But strangely his cause of delight was s a mystery to every other man in the conference room. His associates would give him glances then would look down. Their Boss mood was strange…cheerful and it was creepy looking at this particular man in such cheerfulness.

Past four last months, all his employees had been on the edge of their seats. He had fired the count of men that weren't hired in the last ten years. He had been working till dinner times so has all his employees.

They have all covered the leverage for the next three years at the least. Nobody was ready to come face to face with the Devil and who was unlucky to saw the depths of the abyss but today it was like their was Boss another person.

Happy…for f*ck's sake he even returned the greeting of the security who looked like Grim Reaper demanded their souls. One of them even fainted!

All this looseness in his attitude looked trap…a creepy death trap. His employees were sweating and heaving with frantic flailing eyes.

Master Lu pursed his lips and an unknown emotion passed before his eyes. He eyed the Young man of charisma to ravel the lords and Kings skeptically. There was a reason he chose the man for his daughter years ago.

He could defy the world and stand victor. In this man line of sight, things were his way or no way. He was leading the world of snake and vultures better than the five generations before he led with a swag of his own.

But his playfulness and the gentle look in his eyes when he was on the phone threw him off. He was the King ruthless and callous, who the world bent to and he was bending to a woman.

”I assume the receiver of your call was the girl in question.” He declared without a hint of interrogation, he was certain of his statement, somehow.

Li Yuan wasn't hiding his affection from anyone. It was an ominous sign of territory and a declaration of a threat to anyone challenging otherwise.

After months of him trying to navigate the two men, Li Yuan and Yu Youhan, he finally managed to get a meeting with one of them.

His intentions were crystal, he wanted to end both men association with his daughter. Li Yuan had been a golden opportunity to land Lu Xinyi in a safe haven but he was too smitten by that Raven head witch to look otherwise.

And Yu Youhan would be nothing but prove to be a stain on her. Firstly he was Li Yuan's fiancé and thus any association with him will prove to be a stain on her name anyway but there was also the fact that he was a free man with a reputation and flowing wealth, rendering no way for him to control him if his daughter ever got together with him.

Now he will have to guard her on his own, either if it was her heart or her life.

Li Yuan eyebrow queued up and all cheeriness drained from his face leaving an empty shell of coarse coldness, ”That's not of your concern, now is it?” He smirked in a taunting sinister manner and snarled, ”Father-in-law.”

Master Lu clenched his fist but reigned in his temper. The young man in front was too damn cunning and precarious for a slip of temper. His lazy smirk and the snide comment was his way of riling him up.

He was a predator, the deranged of all the predators, playing with its prey before striking. He was deliberately playing it cool, giving the opponent a sense of opportunity, an illusion of freedom when all along you were walking on this thin thread.

All the familiarity he had on his face, all the gentleness and patience he had when he was sitting down in his dining room with that young woman in one of those mornings.

When he would fill up her plate and hear her rant about the particular thing she didn't like and he would eat that peas and capsicum from her plate or while he would stare at her eat her food slowly was gone like it was all reserved for her all along.

This man, in front of him, was an enigma, a crazed prodigy who could take the world by a storm.

Master Lu exhaled then glanced at his lawyer who at once protruded a file toward them, ”I am here to terminate the contract. What would it take?”
