225 I Missed You (1/2)

Lei Xinyi at once shrieked and tried to shut the door when Li Yuan trapped his foot in the door and forced the door open.

Lei Xinyi looked at him in horror like she had seen a ghost, she schooled her features and gave him an awkward smile, ”Gen...Gentleman, what can I do for you? I think you have the wrong house or maybe the wrong person...The owner of the house isn't here too so...”

He stood there but didn't reach her as if he touched her, she was going to fade into another bittersweet dream that would kill his hope.

Not a word of what she said registered, all he could see was her face that he had dreamt and thought of for the last three months.

Lei Xinyi looked at her supporting stand that had fallen on the floor and vase by the wall, Li Yuan was standing about three steps away from her and her escaping chances were 0.00000001 and that one was in hope that a miracle happens and she is teleported to another world.

Lei Xinyi reached out for the stick but before she could even bend Li Yuan trapped her hard in a hug. Lei Xinyin was shocked at the familiarity of the hug more than the suddenness of the hug. His hug hardened as if to make sure she was real.

”I missed you.” Li Yuan whispered in her ear. She felt his longing in his words before she could even comprehend his words, she replied to him.

”I missed you too.” Lei Xinyi was shocked at her words but then the volume of their words shared hit her and she pushed him away. Her push wasn't hard but Li Yuan let her create distance between them.

Li Yuan racked her body with his eyes for any injuries while Lei Xinyi racked his for signs of marriage. When she found none she felt satisfied and half her rage vaporized.

So he didn't pick a random woman and marry like in the movies...

Li Yuan looked at her foot, turned to her and asked her sternly in suppressed anger, ”What did you do to your foot?”

Lei Xinyi temper flared like fire on fuel and she pushed harder on his chest, ”Well, I was curious how broken bones would look in summer!” She snorted sarcastically then narrowed her cat-like eyes.

”What the hell are you doing here?” Her question was well marking her fear in the veil of her sternness. He was a man she had done fraud, he couldn't be here for sharing pleasantries of course!

Li Yuan face hardened at once, he held her by the arm in a firm yet gentle hold and hissed, ”I remember there was a pending wedding that you promised me.”

Lei Xinyi eyes widened before she chuckled smugly and patted his cheek in mock pity, ”Tsk...Tsk...But I am not your fiance, Lu Xinyi. She eloped with her lover! I am just her look alike!”

Lei Xinyi assessed his face for a reaction or astonishment, shock anything but there was a knowing look on his face as he nodded, ”Good, that she doesn't owe me a wedding then. You do.”

He knew?!

Li Yuan hold on her tightened and he hissed, ”But she isn't the one who took me to the Altar only to disappear a week before marriage!”

Lei Xinyi dug her sharp self-manicured nails in the wrist of his hand clutching hers and spat, ”I didn't too, all I did was nod and smile. You were the one who-so-gracefully took upon you to decide whatever the f*ck you think was best!”

Li Yaun didn't even wince by her petty attack but loosened his hold on her arm.
