Did he overdo it? Li Yuan smirked with hollowness and shook his head. Nah...If his cousin brother was going to suffer the same ache, he was having. Then love was a poison he should help him steer away from.

Li Yuan sighed and rubbed his temples. It seemed he had many engagements written in his stars but there was a chipped star somewhere where his marriage should be written!

First his faux engagement with Su Qianwei, then his non-existent engagement with Lu Xinyi then his conned engagement with Lei Xinyi.

He was exhausted and depressed. Lei Xinyi was nowhere to be found, even when they had been on the tail of all the migrants 24/7.

He looked out of the window to the view of the busy rushing city.

It looked like everyone's life was continuing just he was frozen still at the moment. Looking at the familiar face had just made him miss her more so he decided it was best to head home instead of the office where all he was going to do was miss her.

Lu Xinyi ran out fast on her heels till she reached the restroom, there she got in a cubicle and shut the door.

Her hardened facade at once broke and her tears fell, she didn't want this constricting feeling in her heart!

She kept both her hands on her mouth to stifle her sobs. She mourned for the ache that was fathered by an anonymous emotion.

Why would it matter to her?! She wasn't his wife or girlfriend! She didn't want him!

He was wrong! Her relation with him was going to end up in debris and that's all but she couldn't help it.

The last couple of days when she stayed there he didn't return home. Did he go to his mistresses?! Were his Mistresses living with him now?!

She wanted to go to his Mansion and shout it out to him but...What if there was another woman there with him?! What if he tells her to leave as he told her to leave before?!

How would she survive that?

She cried till she was tired to cry no more and then left the cubicle. She washed her face and retouched her makeup.

Nobody needs to know the turmoil going in her heart. She steeled her heart, no! She wanted freedom and no matter the price she will not depend on another man whole her life!

She shook her head and cleared her thought. She wasn't feeling these feelings because she liked him or something, it was because she was territorial.

Yes, it was because she was being replaced that was why she was feeling this. But Yu Youhan was a fleeting entity and once she will find love in her life, she will forget about him.

Lu Xinyi nodded and patted her cheeks, ”Yes, just give yourself time. Besides, the man is complicated and if at the end I was going to be stuck with a man who was...like that. What was the purpose of ditching that Li guy?!”

Lu Xinyi smiled satisfied at her convincing skills and left the bathroom with a hollow heart and chaotic mind.
