201 Friendship of a Billionaire (1/2)
The room was messed with scattered or crumpled papers and Lu Xinyi sat in the midst of it all in the room that was given to her by her saviour.
She was laying on her stomach with her legs dangling in the air. She was leaning on a furniture catalogue. From time to time she would mark or highlight a thing or two before flipping to the other page.
She was preparing for her first-ever apartment. She did own one studio apartment before but that was too small for accomodating and was close to her father's office means 'anti-privacy'.
He Zheng had been efficient in showing her the places and the agent was cooperative. He guided her about all the options and showed her about 32 different apartments and condo.
At last, she settled on a condo above He Zheng in the same complex. Her place was neither too big nor too congested. It was a two-storey cosy apartment.
Neither it had a dark and brooding vibe like her father's nor was it regal and dominating like Yu Youhan's.
Her step-mother had returned her all her cards and bank details and surprisingly not a lot was spent. Her imposter had the decency to spend about only a measly 100 dollars that too on beer bottles or sweets.
At once she fell in love with her imposter's stingy nature even with others money. Sometimes she wished she could meet her and see for herself if she was really that much of doppelganger or not.
Lu Xinyi was a painter and she had a degree in literature. Though she never utilized her professional literature degree, she had spent a great deal of time of her youth relishing in her hobby, painting.
Her paintings were sold in millions in big galleries, thanks to her father's support. She signed her paintings with her English name, Rachel Lu so no one really knew of her.
All her earned money along with her monthly allowance was stored in her account as all her necessities were taken care of. Her allowance was more than Lu Sheng or Lu Han as she was the eldest. Then the red packets she received on occasion as the only daughter and the profit she gained from her shares from the Lu Corporation that was in her name so money wasn't an issue.
The Lu Corporation was one of the biggest conglomerates in the country and Master Lu owned 40 % shares as the CEO. He had gifted his each child 2 % on their 18th birthday. Lu Han hadn't received his share yet.
When she was in her Mansion she only had access to 5% of that money as her evil step-mother had suggested her father to keep it in safekeeping for when she is married and mature. Lu Xinyi rolled her eyes at the thought of the obnoxious woman.
The money was for enjoyment and leisure but Lu Xinyi was always cramped up in her Mansion so only her best friend, Shen Chen helped her spend her money in good dresses that she bought from different places. At her thought, she missed her instantly.
Shen Chen was the one who told her fiance's, Li Yuan's reality and also helped her escape him. Lu Xinyi smiled, took a wistful sigh remembering her and decided she was going to go see her soon. Nobody did but Shen Chen surely would have missed her!
Now all the money was handed to her. She had bought her condo with her own money and was planning to furnish it on her own too. She will make it into her private cave! A kind of home that she always wanted instead of that princess room that they assumed she loved!
Although now she wasn't a beggar princess, she still didn't own enough money to pay back Yu Youhan. Her father was going to contact him about the expenses soon too. But it was more than that he had spent on her.
The most generous he had been to her was when he had saved her from the forest instead of leaving her to die then he called for best doctors from overseas to treat her. Not only that then he helped her recover, gave her colourful memories when her own was a blank canvas.
He was her superman, her rabbit she blindly followed to wonderland, he was her prince that woke her up from her dead slumber and the one she owed her life to. It was resources and time, companionship, friendship of a Billionaire, that she owed him and there was no way she could return that...
