197 A Good Way to Release Frustration (1/2)

Halfway across the city, Lei Xinyi popped the icecream spoon in her mouth, looking at the news on the TV.

She wasn't into all the political and economical news stuff. All she cared was if it was going to rain or not but this was far the only way to stay connected to the world.

She needed to contact He Zheng somehow but not through the piercing, they would detect it as it will be activated and then try to take it off!

The phone they had given her, could be only used to call or receive one number and that was of her 'Dear Grandfather'. For her entertainment, he had sent her several books for different genres and mostly on medical and Martial arts.

Her head-bandage was removed but the ugly scar was too visible on her head to be forgotten. Her leg is fractured from two places so she was on plaster and her movement was based on a wheelchair. She was exhausted to her bones by resting all day long!

They were keeping her in an apartment in an unknown middle-class society. They were ramps installed in different areas so her wheelchair could go anywhere in a small apartment. Furthermore, a bench seat was fixed in the bathroom and safety bars too were in almost all the apartment.

She wanted to shout whenever she saw all that, they had it preplanned to get her in this position!

Tomorrow was the wedding day, her supposed to be wedding. The wedding was set, the venue was prepared, all the guests were aligned, f*cking media was involved! He can't cancel the wedding now, can he?

Her heart was restless. Nobody knew of Li Yuan's bride. The ass could practically bring any girl from his booty calls and make her his merry wife! Or... Perhaps he would have found his real fiance and would marry her!

She really didn't know why she cared so much but she did! Lei Xinyi huffed looking at all the boring news, where was Li Yuan's marriage news? Why was there nothing here?! It was like it wasn't Li Yuan, the most eligible Bachelor of the city, wedding at all!

”Lei Xinyi, I am home!”

Lei Xinyi rolled her eyes at the high pitched annoying voice of her caretaker + nurse + Yi Yang's whore.

Qin Shu entered the room minutes later dressed in a pencil skirt and button-down shirt that did nothing to hide her hickeys from her scandalous relationship. She was just out of the office.

She was Yi Yang secretary and did almost all of the bastard's work. She was still a b*tch but they had formed civility between them to not rip each other hairs out.

”How was your day?” Qin Shu asked fake cheerily.

Lei Xinyi wanted to punch the answer in the girl's gut, instead, she did what a handicapped person could. She narrowed her eyes and bristled, ”How can a person's day be laying on a bed all day?” She looked at her empty hand and frowned, ”Where are the things I asked you to bring?”

Qin Shu didn't mind her cold tone but slapped her hand on her forehead and cursed, ”I forgot the things in the car! I will just bring them now.”

Lei Xinyi scoffed, ”if you stop blowing your mind on Yi Yang's dick then there will be space to remember anything in that small compartment up there.”

Qin Shu didn't respond but rushed out of the house in a hurry. Yi Yang dropped and picked her up as a mistress was supposed to be.

To not be suspicious, he only came here on Saturday and Sunday to manipulate Lei Xinyi for telling him the name of the Heirs and work with her to eliminate them.

But Lei Xinyi knew a serpent when she saw one. Yi Yang was one hell of a deceptive bastard, he had killed even more heirs than her. He was from a Martial Arts Family and thus was trained since he was a toddler so he was fast and agile and other heirs were just puppets for him to eliminate.

His only bet was in trying to convince her because as the Lei's patriarch needed her so there was no way Yi Yang could kill her and get out of here alive. the place was in strict observation.

She couldn't blame any heir to kill her for the Lei's Head position. The Lei empire was an empire which was as huge as the Li's or Yu's, anybody morals could slip on this much greed.

Lei Xinyi wanted it too but all the money in the world wasn't enticing enough to force her to kill her kins, no matter even if they were trying to kill her!
