171 Strayed Member of The Family (1/2)

He took a deep breath, and held her by her shoulders, ”Listen, if you want to go in there I will take you to 'see' them but if you leave with me right now. We are never coming to see them. Do you get me?”

Lu Xinyi bit her lower lip and a stray tear escaped her eyes. That night she escaped she swore to never return and that they weren't worth it.

But four and a half month of being a plucked leaf from the tree made her desperate for relations, familiarity and... care.

She wanted to see them and if there were any margins to return. She missed her father strict convicts, her step-mother criticism and even her brothers sneer and mocking gazes.

She just didn't want to be a stray leaf away from its origin somewhere she didn't belong. She wanted to belong and be a part of something.

She whispered, ”Let's go!”

Yu Youhan gaze hardened and he pulled her toward the living room her family was in. They could meet them later in their own house but it was better if this chapter closed once and for all.

She wasn't blind or an idiot. She was just simple and not scheming. She could see Yu Youhan wasn't too happy by her decision but it wasn't his call to make in the first place.

If he liked free-loaders it wasn't her fault because she, sure as hell, didn't like owing anybody. She didn't even ask him to come she just wanted to inform him because he had done a lot for her but he had forcefully offered to tag along. She couldn't deny him, she owed him a lot to.

She keeps reminding herself, he could have left her to die in the forest where he found her or dumped her in some hospital. For her life, she should be grateful to him or her bones would have decayed by now.

The Butler who was out of the living room looked at them and mostly her like he had seen a man he had attended a funeral of. On Yu Youhan indication he opened the door of the living room.

There was a heated conversation taking place but looking at them standing in the doorway it was like a switch was flickered and everyone was paused.

Gasps were followed by sighs of relief. Madam Lu and Master Lu were the first to react, they stood up and ran to them in pure joviality.

”Lu Xinyi, where were you? Ar...are you Okay? You scared us, girl!”

But it didn't melt Lu Xinyi's heart, instead, it sowed a seed of discord in the heart, it pierced her heart. They never treated her like that so why were they so good to her now. Was her imposter that good?

Looking at the hurt expression that was marrying the girl's jade-crafted face, Madam Lu looked at her sceptically then looked at the man beside her. It wasn't Li Yuan as it should have been.

Everyone was heatedly gazing at him already.

It was a situation that spoke volumes. Her fiance stormed out right now shouting that she was 'gone' and then she comes in holding another man arm.

The situation could mean only one thing!

That she had eloped with another man who was supposedly the man she was clutching the arm of. At once everyone expressions turned from relieved to that of accusation.

A scary question was hanging like a knife above their necks. Where did this young man come in the picture from?

Madam Lu looked at her with a horrified expression, brought her hand to cover her mouth and gasped, her eyes screamed disbelief, ”Ho...How could you?”

Lu Xinyi who was still oblivious to the situation, mirrored her disbelief, ”How could I? What did I do? You are the people who replaced me when I was struggling for my life!”

Master Lu who had enough mortification couldn't take it anymore. Her fiance loved her and she's about to start a family with him and at that crucial moment, she decides to sabotage her love life!

He cried out in disappointment and anger ”Enough! Lu Xinyi, come here! We are going home!”

Lu Xinyi flinched at once and hid behind Yu Youhan, clutching his arm harder. Yu Youahn eyes sharpened and he glared at the man who was the source of her fear.

His presence seemed to reduce everyone else's, his aristocrat jaw was set and his eyes hardened. His mellow and low voice sent chills down everyone spine, ”She will go home.” His predatory eyes surveyed the surrounding, and pronounced for everyone to hear, ”...and that is with me.”

By the pressure of his cold exterior, Master Lu who had flinched backwards reeled back with terrific rage on his face, he took a step close to him with purpose.
