Lei Xinyi furrowed her brows and snarled, ”And... why am I supposed to be pregnant in all this?”

Li Yuan took a deep breath and looked at her, ”It's for your safety. My family was planning to annul the engagement but if you are pregnant, they would have no option but to hasten the wedding.”

”Why the hassle? If they want to annul it, then let them.” Lei Xinyi shrugged as if it was the most obvious of things to understand.

Li Yuan's gaze hardened at her words. Would she not feel an ounce of sadness? ”The Li's don't leave messes behind. They would have you killed you in an accident to put the engagement to void.”

Lei Xinyi blood ran cold.

She blinked, and hurriedly changed tactic, ”I..I didn't mean it like that. What I mean is that, you know, if we go around fighting for our relationship we will intentionally or unintentionally hurt our other relations, relations that are irreplaceable. I..I just don't want to cause harm.”

She avoided eye contact.

”That's not your matter to ponder on. You will do as you are told and keep your mouth shut till the wedding.” He coldly spat.

Lei Xinyi scoffed at his words, ”So... after this shotgun wedding where are you going to pop the Baby from?”

Li Yuan glanced at her abdomen then smirked coldly, ”After the marriage, we will try for a baby straight away and when you are pregnant, I can tell them that we were mistaken before and if you don't get pregnant, we can always fake a miscarriage.”

And where was her consent in all this madness?! She wanted to shout but couldn't. She would have to play along if she didn't want complications her way till she escapes.

Lei Xinyi listened to him open-mouthed. For a man who had an IQ above 160, the man sure was twisted.

Getting out of the shock, Lei Xinyi started laughing, ”It's a joke, right? Tell me it's a joke.”

Leri Xinyi was still smiling like a fool, but the serious poker face of Li Yuan told another story.

”What?! Are you serious?!”

Lei Xinyi scowled in mockery, then shook her head, ”Wait! Let me rephrase it. Are you crazy?!”

Li Yuan narrowed his eyes at her words, but Lei Xinyi had her quota of bullsh*t for the day.

”You think people are stupid around us? You will bluff just about anything and they will believe you? Our Families are going to be asking for a clinical certificate soon! Your and my Family will monitor our appointments! This is so not going to work!”

Lei Xinyi threw her hands in the air and looked at him in pure anger and frustration.

Li Yuan opened his nightstand drawer and took out an envelope and threw it at her. Lei Xinyi picked the envelope that had landed in her lap.

She tore the envelop open only to find a positive pregnancy test results. But that wasn't what gave her the shock of her life.

The thing that gave her a body jolting and soul-shattering shock was that it was in her f*cking name!

And even more so, it was from the biggest Hospital in the country. How did he convince them to make it was beyond her?!

Lei Xinyi looked at Li Yuan in disbelief, who looked nonchalant as always.

”I have appointments settled and I can order as many like that as I want.”

Lei Xinyi scoffed, and looked at him mockingly, ”And you think the people in my Family are blind, they wouldn't notice that I don't have pregnancy symptoms?”

She thought she made a smart retort, but what Li Yuan said next left her dumbfounded.

”That's why we are moving in together.”
