Li Yuan shrugged and took a sip of his coffee to hide his smirk.

”I have to say, that sounded far more explicit than the actual situation. It makes me wonder what you fantasize about me.”

That was just too much! He was playing cool as if it was another day and he was flirting with his supposed 'wife-to-be'.

Did he really think she forgot the stunt he played yesterday?! He was unbelievable! Lei Xinyi whose patience was already hanging low burst out.

”How dare you??! How f*cking dare you to bluff about me being pregnant, when I haven't even slept with you!” Lei Xinyi all but shouted.

Li Yuan looked as calm as ever and raised a brow suggestively at her, ”Is that regret I am hearing?”

Lei Xinyi threw the pillow close to her at him. It hit him in the shoulder blade. He didn't even dodge, but grinned at her.

She winced and wished that it was brick instead of a pillow. Then she would see if he would grin like crazy still.

Lei Xinyi narrowed her eyes into slits, ”What are you playing at, huh?”

Li Yuan kept the coffee mug on the nightside table and his expressions turned serious and he pinned her with a pointed look.

He kept her breakfast tray on a side despite Lei Xinyi's protest.

He held her by her elbow and pulled her closer, ”When were you going to tell me you were bleeding?”

Lei Xinyi was petrified. She was visibly shaking. She was alone here. He could do anything to her, but she wasn't the kind to do wise things.

”When were you going to tell that I am 'pregnant'?!” Lei Xinyi sarcastically retorted and tried to free herself.

”Just answer me, Xinyi. You don't want to test my patience.” Li Yuan snarled at her.

Lei Xinyi tried to push him away by hitting his chest but Li Yuan held her hand, threw her on the bed, and pinned her both hands down on the bed above her head.

The impact hurt her stab wound, but she bit her lip to stop from wincing. He was the last person on Earth who she needed to pity her.

He was all but straddling her, leaving her upper body motionless and completely on his mercy.

Lei Xinyi tried to free herself then huffed, looked at him in his eyes then rolled them, ”Never.”

”Damn it, Xinyi! You could have been infected!”

”That's none of your concern!” Lei Xinyi shouted back.

Li Yuan held her chin to make her look at him then said through a clenched jaw, ”Woman, you are infuriating! Don't make me show you the side that you will not like of me!”

Lei Xinyi did take his warning in great consideration. Only a fool will want to call the wrath of a fire breathing enraged Dragon upon themselves.

Lei Xinyi at once stiffened. She looked at him and Li Yuan could see the flicker of fear that consumed her heart in her eyes, but Lei Xinyi at once covered it.

He was close to her, only inches away from her face. Lei Xinyi looked down at his straddling legs, then her free legs and smirked.

All she needed was an element of surprise to flee.
