140 Young Love (1/2)

The mistrust was as clear as the sky was today. He wanted to shout or throw a fit, but he couldn't give his Grandfather another thing to blackmail him about.

Yes, he did have a lot of flings and f*cks but that was just to let her subtly tel her to cancel the engagement. But it was before!

He gritted his teeth and clenched his jaw. His cold aura at once turned the room to Antarctica.

Old Madam Li turned to Lei Xinyi with a slight smile as if she couldn't comprehend the sudden dropping temperature.

”Lu Xinyi, it is?” OLd Madam Li asked in a mocking tone.

Neither Li Yuan nor Lei Xinyi replied to her. Of course, she did know her name, but it was her way of making Lei Xinyi feel insignificant.

Lei Xinyi was feeling light-headed and cold. But she smiled at Old Madam Li, anyway.

Li Yuan raised an eyebrow daring her to say a word ahead but Old Madam Li didn't like the taste of bitterness that came with being asked to shut up by her Grandson for his measly wh*re.

”Li Yuan went Harvard with them. Li Yuan and Emilia... they were so young and in love that we thought they would end up together! But Alas... Fate had other plans.”

Saying 'other plans' she gave Lei Xinyi a disgusted look.

Madam Li also sighed melancholy as if reminiscing the old magnificent days, ”Ahhh... They were so taken with each other. They were practically two bodies with one soul.”

A wave of unexplainable anger washed over Li Yuan. At that moment he wished that these women weren't his Mother and Grandmother.

He might have had a summer fling with the said woman and didn't even know her name then!

Lei Xinyi jerked away from Li Yuan's arm that was around her and created a distance between.

She folded her legs, one on the other, straightened her spine and excluded her confidence with a smirk.

She observed the two women. One look at their body languages you could tell they weren't harmonious but just allies in a common cause. Which so happen to be whipping her ass!

Lei Xinyi at once felt cold from the lack of warmth and Li Yuan looked at his empty arms and furrowed.

He sharply turned to his Mother and Grandmother, who was the cause of the emptiness. He was about to snap them shut when Lei Xinyi's next word struck him like a sledgehammer.

”Well, right... I get upset thinking of what my childhood could be like too if I wasn't bound. But 'fate' had other plans.” She said dreamily with a small sad smile, looking at the ceiling of the Gazebo as if mourning it.

Then she turned to Old Madam Li with a puzzled expression, ”Though, unlike me, a piece of paper didn't restrain him from screwing every next woman. I think Li Yuan wasn't really taken that much by her.”

Lei Xinyi passed a mocking smile to her audience. It was obvious she was losing her patience and doing this in the spark of anger.

Even knowing that, didn't do anything to dissipate his anger. He glared at her who looked unbothered but glared in return. He will have to see his spitfire later!

Right now he had bigger fishes to fry. He turned his sharp glare to his Mother and grandmother who looked at him sheepishly.

Li Yuan felt his blood boil. These women just didn't know when to stop!

If only he wasn't here, he didn't need to doubt that they would jump each other bones.
