133 A Match Made in Hell (2/2)
With the unexpected death of his father many problems rose.
He had dug too many holes in the business, everything was a mess and all his uncles and cousins were eyeing the position of the Head of the Family like vultures.
And instead of helping him, Old Master Li had sidestepped and watched the massacre with amusement.
Then when the internal affairs were calm the Government, legal authorities, Influential families, and the underworld were hunting them like bloodhounds.
Apparently, Li's had made big enemies...
Even though the Old Master Li didn't care about a dozen of corpses of his own flesh and blood, he certainly did care about the fortune his family took centuries to acquire.
So he arranged Li Yuan marriage with Lu Xinyi and in return, he was immune to the government and legal authorities giving him enough time to deal with other issues.
And now the inclusion was clear, he had brought the Li Family to new heights and he sure as hell didn't need the Lu Family anymore to remain immune.
So, Lu Xinyi was now disposable...
Either she will have to annul the engagement or they will have to turn the engagement to void and that can only be done once Lu Xinyi is ...dead.
But he wasn't going to settle for either, he may not love her but she will only stay with him and no one else and most of all nobody dictated his life.
Li Yuan would have to play his cards right or the odds are that he will carry his fiance's body home today.
Although he looked laid back but in the closer inspection, you could see his stiff body language. He was on constant alert.
Sneaky was his Grandfather thing...
After walking through several hallways they took a sharp turn and opened the Mahogany door with vines intricate design.
They entered the room and before the people in the room came into view...
'SWISH!'
Lei Xinyi looked at the sharp fork that Li Yuan was holding an inch away from her head.
Lei Xinyi eyes widened. She didn't even see it coming or anyone throwing it at her.
Thinking about the possibilities of it going through her head Lei Xinyi blood run cold.
It would have been an instant kill that she wouldn't even know her murderer.
She stammered backward and hid behind Li Yuan still clutching his arm.
She heard obnoxious giggles but didn't dare look at her possible murderer.
Li Yaun twisted the fork in his hand and threw it in projectile motion, landing exactly a millimeter away from Old Master Li hand on the table.
”I see, you have lost sight of the aim. No wonder, age does that to you... I am just glad your bones aren't decaying, yet”
