117 A Queen Wielding Power (2/2)
”I said nothing but the truth! Don't you get it?! Damn it!”
Lei Xinyi face was marred with tears by now and she was shaking.
No matter how strong or stubborn kind of a woman she was, she was still only a woman.
And this version of Li Yuan scared her sh*tless. It could even scare a grown man sh*tless.
It reminded her of the beast he really was and what he was capable of.
Li Yaun looked at her frightened expression and teary face and got back in his senses. Taking a calming breath, he slid away from her and ran a frustrated hand through his hair.
The woman had a way to make him out of his senses in every way possible.
Although Li Yaun had calmed down Lei Xinyi still stuck close to the door.
Li Yaun drove at a maddening speed to the office. No word was spoken. Lei Xinyi shoulders were stiff and alarmed she was alert if he was to act out again.
----------
LI Yaun was sitting in his office reminiscing the ride with Lei Xinyi. He had lost control when he didn't mean to.
He wasn't in the wrong. He had done worse but the look on her face disturbed him to the point he knew he was going to have nightmares about it.
He was feeling guilty like it was his fault while he should have done her worse. And this guilt was making him furious.
Why was a woman who was insignificant to the point he never even noticed existed was affecting him so much?!
He ran a hand through his hair and threw the paperweight on the glass wall in his office, successfully breaking it.
He was frustrated beyond comprehension. This wasn't what he had in mind. This wasn't what he had vouched for.
He wanted an amusing feisty woman to humor him, make a clean break, and have a clean slate to live his vain life his way.
She had been playing him for months now and he didn't know a damn thing about her. He wasn't even sure who she was anymore.
But this...
Her initial fear of him should have explained it to him when she wasn't supposed to know anything. But she did know.
He fisted his hands and scoffed. Here he was trying to make it easy for the protected innocent girl when she was making a sport out of him.
He didn't even know her. She wasn't someone he could save. She wasn't a princess locked in a high tower. She was a mother f*ucking Queen wielding power behind the Castle doors.
With an angry growl he flipped the table at once, trashing his whole office.
