”So gentlemanly of you.” Lei Xinyi spat in a sarcastic tone and in reply Li Yuan only smirked.

Gritting her teeth Lei Xinyi stood up dusted off her dress, and passed pass Li Yuan and sat in the car. Following her Li Yuan also went and sat in the car pulling a reverse gear.

Li Yuan realized that the woman could only play nice when she is a step away from death.

He had never been fond of his chosen fiancé, he always thought she wasn't fit to be his wife. But even then he wouldn't allow her to play with his male ego.

After all it's the most insulting thing for a man to become a cuckold...

Once inside the car Lei Xinyi ignored the man beside her and pulled out wipes and hand-mirror from her bag. She started removing her ruined makeup and throwing the used wipes deliberately in his car.

As she reapplied her makeup she kept her focus on Li Yuan from her peripheral view, Lei Xinyi felt slightly irked as he wasn't annoyed or irritated by her act.

Didn't man like their cars tidied and treasured?! What is up with him.....?! Maybe it's because he can buy so many of them!

Thinking about it like that she decided to change her approach, She asked in a fake sweet tone ”So is it that you are on your periods that you are having mood swings or are you plain bipolar.”

Li Yuan smirked thinking how the woman who was so humble a while ago was being frank enough to tease him. Maybe they had made a 'strange' kind of progress in their relationship.

”You didn't think that a while ago, huh? Wasn't I your love of life then?” Li Yuan asked in teasing tone.

Being reminded of the situation she gritted her teeth and as she opened her mouth to say something, Li Yuan phone ringed.

Looking at the phone, Li Yuan smirked and turned to Lei Xinyi and said in a threatening low voice that gave her goosebumps, ”Don't you dare say a word unnecessarily.”

Keeping the phone on speaker, Li Yuan whole demeanor changed and he spoke in a jolly voice, ”Hello Mr. Lu. Good Afternoon!”

Mr. Lu as in her supposed father? Why the hell now he was calling?

”Where is my daughter?” The stern and cold voice of Master Lu was heard from the other side.

'No greetings back? No boot licking? Didn't he know of Li Yuan reputation? Such a strange thing but looking at the shades of Li Yuan face getting darker it may have been the first time.' Lei Xinyi thought.

”She's with me; she was feeling low so I brought her out on a long drive for fresh air. Why are you asking father in law? Is everything alright?” Li Yuan said in his calm voice with a tinge of fake worry as he brought the car back on the road.
