Chapter 88: Some quiet. (1/2)
You Liangxing never had such an embarrassing moment in his life. He yacked Kang Shengzhe to his feet – forcibly too – to remove any possibility of Kang Shengzhe pulling some trick. Thus, with one person pulling and the other being dragged along to walk a distance away, gloom was written in bolded letters all over their backs.
After being put through so much torment, Kang Shengzhe’s mood was understandably terrible, and it was only after he was at the receiving end of You Liangxing’s punches – ones that were neither light nor heavy – and some extensive mutterings that he finally returned back to normal.
Yes, he was no longer making trouble, but his features were still locked in a scowl, and it was apparent that he was unhappy.
You Liangxing said, “Just what kind of stroke are you having?”
Kan Shengzhe glanced at him, voice mournful, “What do you think?”
You Liangxing really could not tell. Ever since they first met, he had never been able to keep up with Kang Shengzhe’s pace.
Perceiving that You Liangxing did not have an answer, Kang Shengzhe let out a deep sigh and left as sullenly as he came. At a loss, You Liangxing stared at his back for a few beats, searching, but he could not find a viable answer.
Why did he suddenly go crazy?
He kept tearing at Liang Chuhan, refusing to let go, when Liang Chuhan had done nothing apart from exchanging a few sentences of dialogue with him. And yet, Kang Shengzhe was unfathomably angry, his words were incoherent, and it was like… was like…
A thought flashed in You Liangxing’s head and he thought of a phrase he had never encountered before.
Eating vinegar.
But as soon as it entered his brain, he immediately dispelled it. What was he being jealous for; Liang Chuhan was a female, no? Suddenly, You Liangxing’s footsteps came to an abrupt halt on the pavement, and he was rendered speechless for a long time, choked by the thought.
… Why had he unknowingly excluded girls from his scope of love interests, shouldn’t it be because Liang Chuhan was a girl that he should be caring…?
Dread continued to well as he went down that train of thought, and the large impact caused by the realisation made his brain short circuit. After standing there for a long period time, unmoving, he went to find a quiet and empty place by the roadside and crouched down silently.
Comrade You Liangxing, who had fallen in the love for the first time and had silently departed from the normal track, needed some quiet.

While You Liangxing was being shell-shocked, the culprit Kang Shengzhe – who did not know what he had incited before he escaped – was still deeply immersed in his own vinegar jar and he could not get out of it. Unhappiness coloured his entire visage as he walked towards the Liberal Arts College. He barely took a few steps in before he bumped into Liang Chulin.
Kang Shengzhe said, “What are you doing here, are your legs that short? Did you only manage to walk too steps after I was gone for so long?”
Liang Chulin’s eyes almost rolled to the whites out of a fit of a anger. Placing his hands on his hips, he said irately, “Your legs are short! Your entire family’s legs are short! You really have no conscience! I was waiting here for you, alright?”
“Waiting for me?”
Liang Chulin said, “Yeah, look at the time, even if we go now, we’ll definitely be late. I couldn’t possibly let you be the only one ending up late when we just shared a meal together.”
Kang Shengzhe said, “Who said I would be late?”
Liang Chulin stilled. “Ah?”
Kang Shengzhe gave him a glance and his long legs stepped forth, making a hundred metre sprint into the compound of the College of Liberal Arts. Liang Chulin first froze, and when he reacted, he started shouting at him as he yelled: “Kang Shengzhe! You big bastard! QAQ!”
