Chapter 67: A wealthy fan. (1/2)

Thank you Cass for your Ko-Fis!

After listening to his words, Wang Lu had nothing to say. However, when he looked at Kang Shengzhe again, the gaze he used had already gone through a heaven and earth splitting change. Originally, he had always presumed that Kang Shengzhe was young, and his lackadaisical and indifferent attitude which showed that he scarcely put anything in mind did not help with the impression either. But now, Kang Shengzhe had proven him wrong by being open-minded and capable of depths that even he could not delve into.

Wang Lu nodded deeply, remaining silent for a long moment, while Kang Shengzhe turned his eyes towards his phone with great exuberance.

No matter what his surroundings were busy with, Kang Shengzhe’s attention was constantly fixated on the WeChat interface open on his phone. As he scrolled through the dialogue he shared with You Liangxing, he typed: — I’m done.

You Liangxing: — I know.

The words ‘I know’ essentially affirmed the fact that the other party had watched the broadcast and the sunshine in Kang Shengzhe’s heart was brimming and threatening to overflow. He asked: — Did I play Zhong Kui well?

You Liangxing: — Yes.

Kang Shengzhe was a little surprised: — You replied so fast?

You Liangxing: — Because I’m intending to answer in the negative for your next question.

Kang Shengzhe paused: — Do you know what I want to ask next?

Kang Shengzhe smiled: — You can say it, isn’t this my next question? Quickly reply in the negative.

You Liangxing: ……

Seeing that Liang Liang did not reply, the curvature of Kang Shengzhe’s smile grew deeper with satisfaction, and he asked the question that was at the tip of his tongue.

— Liang Liang, was I handsome?

You Liangxing: — …….

You Liangxing: — Quickly scram.

Although he did not receive a positive response, Kang Shengzhe did not feel any loss in his heart. In fact, his smile grew wider. To him, a smooth broadcast was incapable of bringing him the same level of happiness that he was experiencing at the present moment.

Now that the task was completely, he kept recalling back to a matter: — Are you occupied tonight?

You Liangxing: — Not occupied.

And the phrase ‘not occupied’ was equivalent to saying that the leisure time he had tonight was his to monopolise. In a good mood, Kang Shengzhe typed: — Shall we have a meal together then?

After sending the message, he added another: — I’ll treat you, you can order whatever you want.

Before You Liangxing’s reply arrived, Kang Shengzhe raised his head to look at Bai Yao who was still around because she was touching up on her make-up. He asked her: “Do you still remember what you said during the live broadcast?”

With her pretty eyes, Bai Yao glanced over with a smile that implied she found the situation humorous. “What are you in a rush for? I have always lived up to my words, we’ll go together in a bit.”

Kang Shengzhe shook his head, “Can you say that line again?”

Bai Yao was slightly confounded but she still repeated her words: “If you manage to land a hook, I’ll treat you to dinner tonight.”

He nodded his head, satisfied, and followed up with a smile: “No thanks.”

Bai Yao: “……”

Bai Yao felt her eyelid twitch since she did not expect Kang Shengzhe to spit out such words. After pausing for a brief moment, she said, “Does it feel good to reject me?”

Kang Shengzhe: “Not really, there aren’t any fluctuations in my heart because of it. However, I do feel likek2026;”

He had yet to complete his sentence when Bai Yao’s slap impacted his forehead. She glared at him with dead eyes, telling him not to finish his words, lest he wanted to taste the wrath of her high heels.

Despite that, Kang Shengzhe finished his words fearlessly, “… Laughing.”

Bai Yao pursed her lips, torn between anger and laughter. Thus, she decided to ignore him for the time being. Only after she had freshened up her makeup, did she ask: “Were you being serious?”

Kang Shengzhe: “I have a rendezvous.”

What rendezvous could be more important than a meal with a big celebrity? The thought lingered in Bai Yao’s mind for a while, her expression becoming reserved: “No way, how could the likes of you have a girlfriend?”

The random utterance seemed to come out from the left field, but Kang Shengzhe remained unfazed by the turns of her thoughts: “I have a boyfriend, not a girlfriend.”

Bai Yao rolled her eyes, but she did not attach the connotations of love to the title ‘boyfriend’ in her heart. She smiled with teeth, “Which man looks well upon you? Perhaps he has been surrounded by ugly girls all his life, thus he finds you attractive?”

After she dropped those words, she still felt that her anger was not fully assuaged. She snorted, “And so what if you have a boyfriend, I have one too.” Saying that, she tapped on You Liangxing’s WeChat and typed decisively: — I, your goddess, am inviting you to a meal later. If you don’t show up, I’m lifting your quilt tonight.

Once she sent it, she tugged on Kang Shengzhe’s ponytail and left without looking back.

While they were bickering with each other, the unknowing and far away You Liangxing was at home alone, and he had long fell into silence.

Inspecting the messages from both Kang Shengzhe and Bai Yao, he noticed that their invitation to a meal were two minutes apart. You Liangxing covered his face, feeling a headache coming on.

… It was here again.

This incomparably familiar sight.

Perhaps this was Ashura’s domain?

You Liangxing furrowed his brows, choosing not to reply to either of them at the moment. He still remembered the short exchange between Bai Yao and Kang Shengzhe regarding the matter of a meal. After stewing about it for a few minutes, Kang Shengzhe’s message arrived at his doorstep.

— Liang Liang?

You Liangxing typed: — … Forget it.

Having thought that the matter was already settled, the rejection that came with the reply startled him. Kang Shengzhe asked in hurry: — Why?

You Liangxing: — Having three people isn’t very convenient.

Kang Shengzhe stilled and a sudden itch arose in his heart: — Who told you it was going to be three people?

The reply took You Liangxing by surprise. Before he could react, Kang Shengzhe sent another message: — There’s no one else, in fact, I just want it to be the two of us.

Instantaneously, You Liangxing felt a chill run down his spine, causing goose bumps to break out all over his body. He did not what he should be refuting but he felt that something was distinctively wrong somewhere.

As he was about to speak, Kang Shengzhe abruptly said: — Hei hei hei, sure enough, you prefer to be alone with me.

You Liangxing: ……

Eyebrows convulsing, You Liangxing typed at a flying speed: — Fuck! Off!
