Chapter 35 (1/2)
Tim vaguely remembered that when he chose wind-type spells as his second attribute, Topa told him that this type could enable him to move fastest and made it easier for him to escape. Tim finally knew how good the spells were. If he had not chosen wind-type spells, he would have been killed by the enemies behind him!
“Are we back to the city?”
Tim ran frantically with one hand on his chest. Though he was very fast, he was still attacked by Zefa with a Dark-type spell that he did not recognize at all!
Initially, Tim only had a small wound on his chest. However, that wound was eroding his skin crazily! Normally, Tim would be able to easily recover from this injury by meditating. However, he did not have a chance to do so. All he could do at this moment was run!
“It’s obvious that he’s a great mage.” Topa flew as he calmly said to Tim.
“The spell he cast should be called the embrace of pain. Fortunately, you dodged in time. That mage did want to kill you. He even used the Dark-type spell called corrosion.”
“If the area of your body that was hit was a little larger, you would be dead.” Topa shivered as he spoke.
Zefa turned the forest two miles around into a poisonous swamp that was emitting a fishy smell! However, because of the tremendous power of his spell, he had to stop and rest for a while. Tim seized the tie and managed to run away.
“Have we arrived?”
Tim saw the team from Rafax City Academy. He stumbled over with all his strength. Finally, he fell to the ground and fainted. In the distance, Mary, who was at the front of the team, saw this scene and immediately screamed in horror, “Tim! Why are you here?”
…
“Do you know what you’re doing, Raphael? This person stole the secret of the Association. I have to take him away!” Zefa said, draped in a long robe. His face was gloomy, and his chest was heaving. He was angry, but the advanced mage in front of him did not give in.
“According to the rules, you are the executor of this mission, and I am the supervisor. I came to Rafax City first. There was no notice from the Headquarters that someone stole the secret.” Raphael replied calmly.
The Mage Association’s Headquarters was afraid that there would be another battle between powerful mages, which was a waste of the mage power in Moore Republic so it specially assigned Raphael, a descendant of the Headquarters, to oversee this mission.
When Raphael found that Tim was a beginner mage who cultivated both the wind and fire spells but was able to withstand Zefa’s attack and run back to the city, he thought Tim was a talent and wanted to protect him.
Raphael was not familiar with Zefa. He thought he was just doing his duty impartially and that he had the responsibility to protect the future young generation of the Moore Republic.
“I’m a great mage. I’m much more valuable than this beginner mage.” Zefa held back his anger and a black ball of light appeared in his hand as if he was ready to attack at any moment.
Although Raphael knew that he was less powerful than Zefa, he still said calmly, “Look at this.”
