Chapter 32 (1/2)
“You’re leaving too?” Tim looked at his sister and felt strange. The two of them were at home, sitting on the sofa and watching TV, or rather, the screen of the magic transmitter. He did not expect his sister to suddenly want to leave.
“Oh, you are going for an arcane realm exploration for beginner mages before graduation, right? I have been there too, but now…”
Tim was a little hesitant.
Normally, he didn’t need to be hesitant. There was indeed a dilapidated secret realm outside Rafax City. The so-called secret realm was just an area that was especially rich in resources.
Due to various geographical reasons and the existence of the legacies of powerful mages and magical beasts in Blue Planet, there were large amounts of rare magical minerals, various herbs, and some magical beasts.
Tim heard from Topa that in Star Race, secret realms were extraordinary. In a secret realm, there were small pieces of plane fragments, small worlds that were isolated by magic arrays, and so many other magic stuff. Topa meant that the secret realms on the Blue Planet were all trash!
“If you want to go there, then go ahead.”
Tim said, looking very hesitant.
When he cleaned the house before, he had discovered a letter that Andrew had left. Andrew said that he was going to explore the beast tide that might erupt outside the city with the Magic Association. He had also told Tim where he would go.
Tim then found that Andrew’s location was not far from the secret realm where his sister would explore.
“Could it be…”
Tim had a premonition. He didn’t think the teachers would harm his sister, but he guessed that Rafax City Academy intended to take the apprentice mages to clean up the power of the beast tide in the name of exploring the secret realm.
“It’s far more dangerous than the exploration that I attended…”
Looking at Mary’s expectant expression, Tim did not say anything. He just sighed helplessly.
“Alright, you may go to the exploration. I’ll be at home and wait for you. Don’t worry.”
Then, Tim said to Topa, who was lazily lying on the sofa, via spiritual transmission.
“It’s quite risky for Mary to go to the secret realm. We should go there as well.” After thinking about it, Tim still couldn’t rest assured, so he immediately changed his words, so he said, “Wait. We should go to the secret realm first and eliminate the possible danger in advance.”
Topa replied with a somewhat helpless look.
“Alright, but don’t delay your cultivation.”
Tim seemed to be deep in thought and then he asked Mary with a smile, “Can you tell me about your exploration plan this time? I’m quite interested.”
He wanted to know more about the exploration. After all, Mary was rather simple-minded.
“Alright! Brother! Let me tell you about it. The conditions this time might be much better than before…”
…
Three days later.
“Goodbye.”
Tim watched with a smile as his sister left home. When he saw Mary’s figure disappear, he immediately put on his robe and asked Topa to cast a wind element spell on him. Then he rushed out of the city. He was familiar with the secret realm that the Academy would explore, and he arrived there with Topa after half an hour’s journey.
“Let me see the Academy’s plan this time. Will they go towards the direction of the beast tide? Let’s go there first and kill the more dangerous magical beasts. We may leave some weak ones for Mary and the others to practice their magic.” Tim said to Topa.
…
“Toi herb is ripening again…”
“A flamingo’s nest has appeared in the secret realm again this time. It seems that Mary will be able to earn a few more credits in her exploration this time.”
As Tim walked deep into the forest, the cracking sound of withered leaves came from beneath his feet. The sunshine was completely blocked by the tall trees. Due to the accumulation of magic power in the secret realm, the plants here were rather tall and large.
“With the cultivation level of Mary, if she came to this place alone, she would be dead. In addition to the darkness that makes it easy to get lost, there are quite many magical beasts here.”
While Tim was thinking, he drew out a wind blade and threw it vertically up. Then, a snake monster with its head cut off fell from above.
“Beginner-level magical beast, skeleton snake?”
“It won’t feel good to be bitten by it.”
Tim picked up the snake’s body and quickly took out its gall bladder. Then, he threw the remaining flesh to Topa. Topa devoured the essence of the entire magical beast with a bite.
“Generally speaking, there should only be low-level magical beasts around. But we encountered a beginner-level magical beast. So we should be close to the location of the beast tide now.”
As Tim analyzed, the scenery in front of him suddenly changed. What was originally a forest turned into a place that looked like a plain. The vegetation was very lush, but the highest plants in this plain were only some shrubs.
