”Did he eat today?” Qiao Xue asked coldly, standing in the corridor.
”Report, sir!” the guard at the door saluted, ”I ate three bowls of rice!”
”Well.” Qiao Xue nodded, ”didn't he ask to go out?”
”Report, sir, no!”
Qiao Xue seemed relieved, and her serious expression relaxed slowly: ”let's do it first. I'll get off work first and come back tomorrow.”
”Yes!”
Qiao Xue carried the folder between her fingers, put her other hand into her pocket, turned and walked out along the corridor. The leather boots beat on the marble floor and made a very regular thump.
