Chapter 1044 - Humans Fight Back (1/2)
The large superior star of the Dragon-borne’s landmass was attacked by internal force comparable to the energy of an SSS9-tier beast deity. This attack was made from an energy that was flawlessly pure, and it resulted in a huge rift opening.
That was not just some powerful earth-shattering move.
The star broke and the stabilized space was broken, forming into a spatial rift.
Some pieces of the ground started breaking off to fly off toward the rift in space.
It was the end of the world.
The Dragon-borne did not dare to imagine that such a thing would be happening to their world.
However, at the same time, there was hope in the eyes of the races that were attached to or taken by the strong members of the Dragon-borne.
In an open-pit mine meant to mine minerals, there was a group of humans. The strengths of these humans were not low, they were all A-tier aptitude users.
However, they were overseen by an S-tier aptitude user. They knew that compared to an S-tier Dragon-borne they might as well be ants.
Their overseer had just disappeared. He seemed very angry as he rushed into the sky. These humans had been with the Dragon-borne for so long that they had mastered their language. They had already heard the news without needing to hear it via consciousness.
A human had invaded the realm.
“Is it true? Humans have really arrived? Could it be to save us? The Dragon-borne are so strong though, he might also become a slave.”
This kind of thinking made those who had hope suddenly lose it again.
They did not dare have excessive expectations.
Not long after, the entire world started to shake violently.
The humans immediately climbed above ground, feeling the earth beneath them shift and shudder as if a mountain was being flipped on its side.
For many humans, spatial rifts represented the unknown, danger and death.
At this point, the dull eyes of these humans suddenly regained their original spark.
“That damn wyrm isn’t back yet and those spatial rifts are gonna reach this place. If we get there, we’ll be able to escape!”
“Move! What are you waiting for, figure it out while we run!”
“Is it because of that human? It’s gotta be, gotta be! Make a break for it, we’re free!”
The humans who had been trapped here for years started to frantically run and scatter into some spatial rifts. Some rifts were still small and naturally they were sealed up after they entered, so the Dragon-borne could not follow them.
It was not just humans that were running, even the low intelligence Trolls and other barbaric species that were enslaved began to run away.
At this time, within a lavish palace of the Dragon-borne, a few human women survived the massive shockwave. They looked to the sky and began to cackle.
“Hahahaha, it’s dead! That demon is dead!”
One of these women was an SS-tier aptitude user. She was one of that SSS-tier Dragon-borne’s concubines. She was forced to sign a slave contract with him, unable to make significant choices for herself no matter how strong she was.
Now, she felt those shackles on her body disappear, so that could only mean one thing—that Immortal was dead.
It was not just her, but the other two hundred human women who were forced into a soul contract felt it too.
That Dragon-borne was finally dead!
“Free, I’m free, I never thought that this day would come!”
“Die you Dragon-born bastards, I’ll kill you all!”
These women went berserk and did not care if their surroundings were getting consumed by rifts or if it was the end of the world. For them, this was a day for revenge and they wanted to slay any enemy that was in their way.*
Throughout the continent, the humans started to fight back, and the Dragon-borne was in a panic.
The planet was falling apart, violent energy was pouring in from the rifts and more importantly, their homes were getting destroyed.
Everything was too sudden, too unbelievable.
