Chapter 966 - : Arriving at the Bahamut Continent (2/2)
Such creatures would only appear in groups, but they were rare and it was difficult to get them under control.
The Shuttle Whale opened its mouth to allow everyone in. It was like entering into a house.
Pop!
The Shuttle Whale closed its mouth, but the view on the outside was still visible through gaps between its teeth. Soon, they had entered dimensional space.
It took a leap and instantly flew out from the perimeters of the spatial station.
Within the dimensional space, none of them could feel the horrifying energy from the universe. But they could see that they were closing in on the Bahamut continent. The wild energy became even more violent, and horrifying meteorites were falling.
All of those were space objects and matter that were attracted by the Immortal.
Without the Shuttle Whale, they would have to pay for a much bigger price to set foot on the Bahamut continent.
Also, consciousness from the death of the Immortal still remained. The dead Bahamut did not want any desecration toward its dead body. Hence, spatial runes were very stable and disallowed any ordinary spatial waymark to activate spatial rifts. Therefore, waymarks recorded on spatial stones were totally useless there.
Of course, it was a different scenario for spatial beasts. Regardless of whether it was the Shuttle Whale or a nine-tailed fox like Bai Li, they were able to open up the spatial passage.
Travelling under extreme speed, the Shuttle Whale manoeuvred across the dimensional realm and got closer to the Bahamut continent. The vision of the passengers was blocked by the continent. They could no longer see the space sky, only the widespread land was visible.
Upon landing, they became members of the land and were no longer outsiders.
The Shuttle Whale landed on the ground. Upon exiting from the dimensional realm, everyone immediately regained their senses.
They were immediately surrounded by the vast energy between heaven and earth. Every breath that they took in was filled with intense energy.
The land surface was more powerful than the Aether Realm.
However, the energy sources were causing discomfort. It was like submerging in water that had an overwhelming stench. An unknown number of dark energies with decaying effects was merging into their body.
It was dark rune energy.
Even dark ability users would not be able to cope with such decay, unless they were to absorb dark runes into their bodies.
But the absorption speed might not be as fast as the speed of decay.
Zolls did not care as his physical body did not belong to him. When it had decayed, he could just look for the next dead body to protect his soul.
“Here it is. Same rules, I will be right here every night to collect the fees. Those who can’t pay, you will be on your own!”
Zolls laughed grimly and seemed to be hoping for them to fail in paying the fees.
Of course, Zolls would most probably not give up easily to sustain the business. To him, those S-tier aptitude users were just lambs and their wools were as useful as ship tickets. It was definitely more profitable to recycle their usage, instead of killing them for a small amount of meat.
However, he would also have some side hustle.
Zolls gave Qin Feng a vengeful look without any disguise. To him, Qin Feng was already a scapegoat that was ready to be slaughtered!
The nine others had gone through the giant mouth of the Shuttle Whale. They were secretly observing the others before selecting their own direction and headed in different ways.
“Black Alp Overlord, let’s work together?” Shao Tai offered.
Qin Feng sneered and answered, “Boat King Shao, thank you for your courtesy in bringing me here. I’ll take it as a favor that I owe you. But I am also sparing your life for your unwelcome presence. It is also a way for me to return the favor of yours and we don’t owe each other anymore!”
Shao Tai was stunned. Qin Feng was speaking the truth as he had indeed used the route to the Bahamut continent as a leverage so that Qin Feng would gracefully spare his life. However, Shao Tai was ashamed to hear it in such a direct way.
