Chapter 943 - Only One? (1/2)
Other than Chu Fan, who was based at the Blood River Realm, the other two had attended the meeting in person. Half of the management team attended through video conference.
“I will be exploring and developing a new realm with several S-tiers in the coming days. Thus, I am going to pull certain people, money, and tech support away from current operations.”
Qin Feng immediately stunned the attendees with a straightforward announcement.
Though they knew how strong Qin Feng was, he was still only an A-tier aptitude user.
Indeed, the reason why the Fengli Organization could stand firm and flourish in this tumultuous world had Qin Feng solely to thank. He had not lost a single fight against their potential competitor or threat so far.
In the Blood River Realm, Qin Feng weathered the punch from Fist God and successfully retained control over the realm. However, he still had to share the resources with other A-tiers.
Now, he was going to collaborate with other S-tiers.
That was an unexpected leap that came sooner than they thought.
Qin Feng quickly elaborated on the condition of Dragon Island. Though it was close to inhabitable, the amount of energy there was nothing Earth could compare to.
The managers who attended the meeting felt mostly uneasy rather than jubilant.
They could hardly follow their president’s pace. Qin Feng was advancing too fast.
The Blood River Realm was already a mammoth step. But Aether Realm was on an entirely different level. The ultra beasts that roamed the realm were majority beast emperors. It was simply too dangerous.
Most importantly, none of them could go with Qin Feng. There was not a single A-tier among the management group.
It was also too short a notice to hire anyone of that caliber now.
“President, we don’t have any A-tier in the organization. If we are only contributing money, I reckon the other parties would keep their promise since you are dealing with trustworthy S-tiers. My concern is that their subordinates probably wouldn’t be too pleased.”
“That’s right. Any form of collaboration will only work if all parties are equal. We can’t even dispatch enough B-tiers to the realm, let alone A-tiers!”
“Business-wise, this is not a safe investment. Don’t we be made cat’s paws!”
They debated heatedly. With their organization’s future on the line, they tended to expect the worst. No doubt, the S-tiers were all well-respected figures and the group for sure admired their accomplishment. But when they were put in this position, it was difficult not to at least be wary of them and the true intention behind this too-good-to-be-true collaboration.
“Don’t judge prematurely, and no need to panic. I will stay in the Aether Realm for a while. Make sure you all catch up while I am away.” Qin Feng purposely glanced at Xue Xingfu when he said that.
Ten years later, Xue Xingfu would be an A-tier after piling up enough resources. However, he was way behind schedule being a mere C5-tier now. His talent would not be worse than Zheng Lin, right?
Qin Feng was certain that Xue Xingfu had not put in enough effort in this matter.
Xue Xingfu’s mind spun quickly and he immediately came up with an excuse. He laughed and said, “This is not a pressing problem. Have you all forgotten about what Chu Fan is working on recently?”
Qin Feng raised his eyebrows and glanced at Chu Fan.
On Chu Fan’s desk, a robotic dog jumped up vigorously.
“I have been working hard these past few months to produce the first prototype of mecha controllable by a human. It only requires a C-tier conscious power to unleash power comparable to an A-tier aptitude user,” The robo-dog spoke proudly.
Chu Fan nodded and continued, “So far, I have only built one. I am still finding a way to mass-produce it but the materials needed are simply too rare. A mecha of A-tier level would require an undamaged, well-preserved carcass of an A-tier beast emperor. The combat power of the mecha depends solely on its manipulator. The result could be that of a beast deity, but could also be as pathetic as a beast general.”
Judging by Chu Fan’s perfectionism, he certainly considered such a prototype a failure.
“Only one? That would do for now!”
