Chapter 820 - Bloodshed across the Prairie (1/2)

“How do you feel? Can your body take it?” Qin Feng asked solemnly.

Han Mingwen shook his head. “I still have the appetite to eat a cow!”

The energy spurt did not lead to any suffering. Han Mingwen gained the power of an aptitude user almost instantly with no apparent setbacks.

Qin Feng felt relieved at last. He was once again astounded by the power veiled by this Fettered Land.

If he could harness this concealed power, the day humans returned to the pinnacle of the food chain might not be long.

But there was no need to rush. This plan could be carried out slowly. Qin Feng was not entirely selfless. Before sharing it with the world, he needed to make sure he and his corporation would get the most benefit from it first.

“Eat them up. There are still some carcasses outside. Have them processed as well and make sure everyone gets a bite. As for the extra, send them back to the colony through the tunnel!”

“Yes, President!”

Under Qin Feng’s order, Wang Cheng swiftly distributed the tasks.

The spatial passage was connected straight into a cave, so these people had no idea what the outside world looked like.

As they exited the cave, the strong bloody smell changed the looks on their faces. The initial excitement had plummeted and turned into wariness. However, other than the carcasses lying around, there was no imminent danger within sight.

“Haul them in, cleanse the bloodstains, and sprinkle beast repellent around the perimeter!”

“Roger, Captain!”

These men acted quickly. They were clearly still not a coherent group but none of them was slacking. With the hard, honest work of one hundred men, the carcasses of all fifty unicorns were stacked in front of the spatial passage in less than ten minutes. They estimated the portion needed and retained only ten bodies. The rest was sent back to Earth.

The person in charge of the laboratory waiting on the other side of the door responded immediately. They took over the experimental materials and processed them on the spot. Half of it was sent to Z’s laboratory.

Inside the cave, Li Yue once again demonstrated his exceptional cooking skills. Everyone else was busy with their respective responsibility too, especially Wang Cheng.

Wang Cheng took a trip back to Fenghuang colony with several men. He went back to amass the necessities and packed them into spatial rings. He had the rings delivered into Hall Zero and ordered his subordinates to carry them over to the other side.

These included shovels, metal plates, tanks, cannonballs, charcoals, cooking utensils, and so on.

Meanwhile, while waiting for the beast to be cooked, several groups received the instruction to construct a temporary base.

Without the participation of earth ability users, the fortress built by hand might crumble easily if they were to encounter a stampede. But Wang Cheng insisted on setting up one. He intended to establish as many safety measures as possible so that these men had the best chance to survive in this foreign world.

Qin Feng was deeply pleased with Wang Cheng’s performance. Wang Chen had found the right man for the job.

“I will leave the rest to you. Be aware of your own safety. I will scout the area further!”

After Qin Feng left, the mood inside the cave became more relaxed.

Qin Feng was the president of Fengli, after all. Among them, only two had met Qin Feng before during the Prodigy Trial held in Fengli City.

The rest had never met him in person, so they behaved prudishly. With Qin Feng gone, their tensed nerves could finally be loosened a little.

“Come and eat, the food is ready!”

“Doesn’t matter if it’s half cooked. These meats must contain an unbelievable amount of energy. Eating the raw ones might have a better effect!”

“Ah, this energy… It’s incredible. Can I really become an aptitude user?”

They were highly enthused

Meanwhile, Qin Feng began to explore the wild.

On this prairie, each population made up a large herd. They gathered closely and hunted other beasts together. Herbivores similar to the unicorns were ample here. He also sighted wolf packs, tigers, and leopards. They might not be gigantic in size but their auras were for sure massive.

He scouted the area briefly with binoculars and quickly came to a conclusion—This was not an ideal living place.
