Chapter 770 - Escaped from Black Citadel (1/2)
He Tianxing would not let go of this opportunity and chased after Mohrian’s spatial waymark.
All that was left on the scene was a demolished city, as well as the aptitude users that had just survived a calamity.
“Catch them!” Fire Phoenix roared and pointed at the aptitude users who had run far.
These were the culprits responsible for this disaster. If not because of them, Dusk Dragon would not have suffered such a great loss. Their city was nearly wiped off from the map by the beast deity!
The residents of Dusk Dragon were infuriated. They could not fight Mohrian but were more than capable of killing other aptitude users.
They thrust forward at the fleeing crowds.
Qin Feng had just retrieved his Emerald Cannon and was immediately jumped by a few aptitude users. The assaulters were glancing at Qin Feng greedily.
To the assailants, Qin Feng was in bad shape. His Sacred Armor had suffered great damage and he was only a B-tier. The local residents had no idea about Qin Feng’s true strength. They were all targeting the cannon which was able to penetrate Mohrian’s sturdy scales.
In their opinion, Qin Feng was no more than a lucky gunner that had obtained a destructive weapon by chance.
It was not that hard to put a gunner into his own place.
They would not care even though he had fought on their side just a moment ago.
Such was the true nature of the Dark Coalition.
Fire Phoenix is no different. She was thinking about snatching the cannon from Qin Feng too.
Qin Feng was shown respect before because Fire Phoenix treated him as a wealthy buyer. Besides, Dusk Dragon, as an auction center, would not brazenly rob others on the surface to maintain their good reputation.
However, things were different now. The Dusk Dragon Auction was completely justifiable. If they could kill Qin Feng during the chaos, Qin Feng’s possession would automatically be claimed by Dusk Dragon, or even be hers.
As such, Fire Phoenix did not stop her subordinates and let them kill as they please.
A murky battle around Black Citadel soon began.
Among those aptitude users right behind Qin Feng, around four to five of them were from the Human Alliance. They were overwhelmed, being surrounded by more than 100 A-tiers. It was close to impossible for them to escape by themselves now.
As such, they gathered around Qin Feng.
One of them took off his masks and revealed his aptitude user badge. He was actually a hardnose general from the south, and his name was Nan Gongshi.
Nangong was the strongest family in the Southern Region. The elders of the Nangong family held a significant position inside the Human Alliance.
Nan Gongshi had high confidence in his power. That was why he dared to journey to Hell Island here.
“Qin Feng, let’s get out of here together!” Nan Gongshi said.
Of course, they would not want to rely on Qin Feng if they had a choice. But in this circumstance, only teaming up would enhance their chance of survival.
Nonetheless, Qin Feng did not need anyone. He could easily escape by himself.
The other four A-tier aptitude users revealed their identities too. They did not join in the plundering of Mohrian’s treasure. They were in Hell Island looking for herbs to breakthrough into the next stage. They had no conflict with Qin Feng.
As such, Qin Feng was willing to give them a hand.
“Retreat to the bridge!” Qin Feng said and unleashed his ability.
“Okay!” Nan Gongshi answered. He fought with a Dark Citadel soldier before retreating immediately.
Qin Feng covered them and was the last to leave. He triggered his conscious power and an insane number of runes gushed out from his blue Diamond Starglobe.
“Great Tsunami!”
A wave ascended in front of Qin Feng and became bigger and bigger. The wave crushed toward the aptitude users that chased after him.
This halted their pursuit as they tried to stop the vicious ability. However, their resistance was futile as the wave still engulfed them and blew them back a few hundred meters.
Qin Feng pulled out a large breathing space. He was not inferior despite fighting one versus five.
“Chase him down. Kill him, useless morons!” Fire Phoenix’s angry roar reached them through their consciousness.
