Chapter 768 - Massacre (1/2)

A hideous draconic head extended out from the rift. The aura of a beast deity had arrived!

The participants were used to the presence of the beasts in Hell Island after spending considerable time there. But when the alien force perturbed the earth’s atmosphere, residents around the area were deeply agitated.

As a prosperous city, Black Citadel was densely populated. Numerous commoners inside the city made a living by serving aptitude users, making this an ideal land for aptitude users to call home.

However, not all aptitude users in Black Citadel were A-tier users. More users fell in the C-tier or D-tier ranges. The power distribution here was actually similar to that of Dragon Capital, with each influential family having its own A-tiers. Still, the number of A-tiers would not exceed a thousand.

How big a threat was the beast deity to the citadel in such a circumstance?

The daunting pressure of the beast suffocated the entire island.

[Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!]

Ear-piercing alarms began to ring non-stop. Commoners could not withstand such pressure and exploded.

G-tier and F-tier users, including those who were newly awakened, spilled blood and fell to the ground.

Users below C-tiers, though they did not die instantly, had the will to live sapped out from their bodies.

The entire city was stained by fresh blood.

Mohrian had not even gotten started.

The beast breathed fire that spread wildly, which rapidly torched the land within a thousand meters.

The fire burned the wheat field, engulfed the buildings and roads, turning Black Citadel into a sea of fire.

Numerous lives were blitzed away by the merciless flame.

“Mohrian, stop!” Fire Phoenix bellowed. She was spooked to see her city in such a devastating state.

She had contacted the S-tier through special means, but nobody knew when the S-tier would make it back to the citadel.

In the meantime, aptitude users that did not belong to Black Citadel were fleeing in all directions. Mohrian tracked them down first and shattered them into pieces with its maw.

Some did not try to leave the city but looked for cover inside the citadel. Mohrian spared no one and once again breathed fire ragingly.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The buildings under attack exploded and crumbled to the ground. Mohrian landed on the ruins and roared into the sky. He was clearly flaunting his dominance.

“Mohrian, stop at once or bear the consequence later!” Fire Phoenix shouted desperately.

Mohrian was pleased as it looked at the burning flame and the struggling humans. He seemed to have finally vented his rage accumulated in the past few days.

Mohrian guffawed. The beast boasted through its consciousness, “Pathetic humans! I am going to show you the price of provoking an ultra-beast!”

He rampaged through the city and brought down one after another high-rise building in front of him. People inside plunged to the ground and were then crushed by the falling concrete.

It was worse than any natural disaster. It was Doomsday all over again.

Fire Phoenix was infuriated. Other members of Dusk Dragon had gathered behind her. They were A-tiers, B-tiers, and gunners with heavy weapons on their shoulders.

“Attack!”

They could not allow Mohrian to keep ravaging through the city.

Numerous shots were fired by the gunner troop toward Mohrian.

But the missiles had little effect on Mohrian. The blasts resulting from the missiles were nothing more than tickling fireworks to the ultra-beast.

The A-tiers charged forward fearlessly. They were the natives of Black Citadel and had their homes and properties established here. They would not let the destruction go on.

“Let’s work hand in hand!”
