Chapter 689 - Plentiful of Heavenly Jewels (1/2)
“… that’s a B3-tier beast king… and I haven’t even felt the effects of its power?”
Qin Feng was speechless.
His abilities’ foundation was way too strong by now. This had increased the amount of energy he could absorb whenever he used his Absorption Ability.
“Let’s go!”
Qin Feng moved onward.
This time, it went on much smoother because there was no dark sea beast that was blocking his way. Thus, in no time, he finally reached the Divine Mountain.
In an instant, a unique energy flushed into his body from the ground through his feet. Every time he took in a breath, he could feel surges of energy flowing in him.
If the Dragon Capital was a jeweled haven, this place was probably ten times more jeweled than that super metropolis!
The energy that was flushing into his body from beneath the ground was so powerful that it could vehemently evolve any living creature at any moment.
“This energy…” It was quite apparent even Bai Li felt it too.
“What’s the matter? Are you going to be okay?” Qin Feng looked Bai Li with a concerned look.
Bai Li shook her head. “I’m okay. It’s just that… I can feel every living cell in my body becoming very very excited! It’s like they’re evolving! But… the rate of them evolving is rather slow so there isn’t going to be much change for now.”
“Hmm, this energy is really unique indeed. This Divine Mountain isn’t going to be here long. However, the plants and flowers in this area could have absorbed its energy too. This means that the Divine Mountain’s energy could be preserved in these plants. So, right now, the most important thing is to harvest these Heavenly Jewels!”
“This is my specialty. Let’s go!”
After replying confidently, Bai Li brought Qin Feng deep into the Divine Mountain.
Of course, aside from the Heavenly Jewels, there were also other dangerously mutated plants and creatures too. Some of sea beasts had even experienced a massive change and evolution after being exposed to this energy for hours.
Qin Feng even witnessed a youngling of an ultra beast that was freshly born that looked completely different from its mother!
“This energy could evolve and fundamentally change a species. Bai Li has stable and strong genes—a sign that she had already experienced a complete and near perfect evolution. That’s why she isn’t affected much by this energy. But what about the humans? What about me?”
Qin Feng closed his eyes and tried to detect any changes in his body.
Hmm… There was not much of a change either.
Perhaps, this meant that the human race was also a species that had experienced a complete evolution.
“Or perhaps, this is also the reason humans can have so many weaklings but also so many prodigies. Much like how the dragon folks in the unknown region said!”
If the human race were that weak, then why did it have some prodigies appearing amongst its ranks?
“Hubby! Right here!” Bai Li grabbed Qin Feng’s arm and teleported them to a massive tree branch.
This tree was really huge—it looked like a giant coconut tree, one that had a smooth trunk and several large leaves. Of course, it also bore some fruits.
These fruits were giving off some really fine aroma and also emitting powerful energies.
Creak!
A fruit appeared to be now ripe, broken away from the tree branch as it fell to the ground.
Qin Feng pinched his conscious energy and stopped the fruit from landing on the ground at the nick of time before handing it to Bai Li, who then stored it in her dimensional pocket.
“Pweez Pweez Pweez!!”
“Kachak Kachak! Kachak Kachak!”
A series of noises could be heard from below.
Qin Feng lowered his head and saw a few ultra beasts that looked peculiarly weird as they were eyeing at him with their crimson red eyes.
They were about one-meter in length, shaped like fishes. They crawled out of the water with their newly grown claws.
These were fishes that had evolved and just gotten out of the water!
These creatures’ original wet scales appeared to have dried up and turned into hardened, stone-like scales. Their tails had also been lengthened via their evolution.
Then, Qin Feng saw it—there were a few crushed fruits on the ground near these ultra beasts.
