Chapter 676 - Astronomical Bounty (1/2)

“Abyssal Ocean Bounty: Glutton Leviathan, 500 billion credits”

Yes, that was right. The overlord that was ravaging the Abyssal Ocean—the Glutton Leviathan was worth 500 billion power credits!

The Eastern Region’s regent—Tung Yang had put it on bounty for many years so that the A-tiers would work together to take it down. Regretfully, no one was up to the task.

Of course, other than the Glutton Leviathan, there were many more terrifying beasts in the wild ocean: the Hundred-Claw, Devil Mountain, Siren Botchling and many more. These were all terrifying overlords of the Abyssal Ocean. It would cost East Sea City an astronomical amount of money to pay the ones who claimed all of the bounties.

Common folks had long thought that it was impossible for anyone to harm these monstrosities, let alone kill them!

Yet now, someone was able to pull it off. Thus, the news spread quickly across East Sea City like wildfire. And of course, even Tung Yang had caught wind of this and stormed out of his office with joy!

Tung Yang was as busy as Shang Han with his daily responsibilities to the Eastern Region. Even though he had a full entourage of secretaries to aid him with these boring paper works, there was still plenty of work that glued him to his desk.

Still, Tung Yang was still quite different from Shang Han because he was getting frailer as he got older. As such, he had long forfeited in continuing on with training his abilities and enhancing his powers. He felt that there was no point in training further if he was going to die soon.

That was why the most training he did was to maintain his powers. He spent most of his time handling the governance of Eastern Region.

Tung Yang did not really have high hopes for Qin Feng. Sure, the boy was a prodigy and a good fighter. Still, the kid was from the Northern Region—he was never a part of the Eastern Region anyway. He spent so much money to get him here merely because he needed manpower.

However, now… things were different. He had a completely different perception of Qin Feng now!

This boy had proven that he was powerful… extremely powerful! So powerful that he was worthy of the title “Champion”! And a champion would garner anyone’s respect no matter where he went.

To add more, Qin Feng had done something no one had ever done before! Not even those A-tiers could do the same!

He Jia received Tung Yang’s message almost instantaneously when the news got out.

“Governor Qin! Regent Tung has requested for you to meet him in the city. You have completed this great feat and he wants to hold a feast to celebrate your glory!” He Jia told Qin Feng excitedly.

Being a manager who was assigned as Qin Feng’s navigator and assistant, He Jia too would be rewarded for Qin Feng’s achievements.

Qin Feng knew that after he had slain the Glutton Leviathan, the entire geopolitics of East Sea City and the ecosystem of the Abyssal Ocean would change drastically. Hence, it was quite understandable that Tung Yang wanted to meet him.

“Certainly. But may I request that he wait for a moment. Just half a day will do. I need to settle the Glutton Leviathan first.”

“Oh, okay. I’ll let the regent know.”

Thus, He Jia got into contact with Tung Yang.

“Regent, Governor Qin said he will need half a day before meeting you. He said he needed to settle the Glutton Leviathan first. It seems that after becoming his Undead Puppet, the beast can’t be too far away from its conscious-bound master.”

Not only that, the Glutton Leviathan was a sea beast. Without the aid of water, its bone structures could crack and fall apart on land. However, if it remained in water, the creature was basically a formidable battleship.

Tung Yang understood it right away after hearing Qin Feng’s reason. Thus, he said, “Sure, no problem. And tell him to not dismantle the Glutton Leviathan. This thing is invaluable to the city… to the whole Human Alliance! This thing could still fight—for us! Tell him I’ll meet him myself in 2 hours’ time.”

“Ah!” He Jia was surprised to hear that Tung Yang was coming to meet him instead. She anxiously nodded. “Understood, Regent!”

As the two of them were on a call, Qin Feng had already ordered the Glutton puppet to move toward the dock. The monster’s presence was so powerful and terrifying that the onlookers felt a lingering terror creeping out from the depths of their souls when they looked at it.

“Gulp!”

A C-tier gulped down his saliva as he looked at the gigantic beast moving to the dock from a deep-sea vessel. When the B-tier next to him saw it, despite knowing that it was already under the control of Dark Puppeteering, he still could not help but feel frightened.

“What are you waiting for? Move our vessel out of its way!”

Perhaps he was too nervous witnessing the monster, the C-tier’s hand shook as he tried to fiddle with the controls and accidentally pressed the fire trigger.

Boom!
