Chapter 192: Blasted Apart, Spending A Lot Of Time With Him (1/2)
[16/150 mins until Dao dies 2:30 after entering the Challenger Gem]
For the Demons, they only saw a Demon girl with crackling horns that were covered in glowing red liquid from the neck down running at them.
And then they didn't.
An arc of lighting connected the fifteen Demons, and then they were blown back, and many others were knocked off their feet, but the girl was gone. Demons called down the line that they were under attack, and the others started to come and assist them as the call ran down the line.
”Do you think we should attack?” One unicorn horned demon asked, and then one with two horns on each side of his head shrugged, but then a burning stick landed on the ground.
The demon with the dual horns walked over to step on the burning stick to put it out.
Back over along the barricade that Jilly and Lizy created, Lani was throwing sticks from her back to the Cerberus girls but was worried. These sticks would need to be touched to be set off, and Lani wasn't sure just how likely that was going to be.
Unfortunately, the other Demons that had come to attack had no commanding officer and many of the stronger, not smarter types. Explosions of red, green, and blue explosions started to go off in a chain, and Demons started to scatter.
It would take them over an hour to return to assault the village, but they could not do anything or get close. The Chiton barricade Jilly had created prevented them, and the Steel Silk stuck and sliced and one that tried to get close.
While this happened, back on the beach, Lidy, Clesh, and the three remaining grandmothers were standing at the edge of the beach. They watched the sisters as they played in the water, completely oblivious to everything that was going on.
”Would be nice to be as carefree as them, wouldn't it?” Fairilese asked as she held onto Frieda's arm, the oldest next to Nixi.
Frieda's horns were a smaller version of Lidy's, only half the size, with black hair. Both she and Fairilese shared hair color and the fierce beauty of an amazon, but with five-inch horns curving up from her forehead.
