Chapter 263: Escorting Mission (2) (1/2)

”Master, it's working…” Xia Ye felt that with this speed, he might be able to absorb enough Qi to make his breakthrough within a year's time.

Lin Xiao nodded. ”Once you make your breakthrough to Golden Core Stage, I'll erase the mark.”

He tried to compose himself but he could feel his head throbbing with pain. It was really painful and he quickly summoned Lin Hu, who had the gall to leisurely sitting in his consciousness and merely watched everything.

'What the hell did you just make me do?'

”Don't' worry too much about it.” Lin Hu looked at Lin Xiao with amusement. ”In fact, this kind of pain will instead increase your mental strength.”

”What mental strength?”

”Hmm, it's another type of cultivation. You don't need to know so much for now and just focus on resting. The pain will turn dull with time and it's not like you can do anything for now.”

”You damn dragon!” Lin Xiao howled in his mind.

Unfortunately for him, the tricky dragon had decided to sleep and ignored the raging Lin Xiao. Unable to bear with the throbbing head, Lin Xiao decided to sleep early with hope that he would get better tomorrow.

No matter how annoying that dragon was, Lin Hu would not do anything that could cause harm to Lin Xiao. Because of that, Lin Xiao was certain that he would be fine after some time. If he died, the dragon would also experience pain and be forced to stay in slumber for thousands of years.

It was not exactly a pleasant experience for the dragon either.

When the morning came, Lin Xiao was relieved that the pain was reduced. It was still throbbing, though. He really wondered how he would be able to survive this way.

”We're going now.”

”Ok…”

Princess Lan Yi Hua looked at Lin Xiao and her eyebrows furrowed. ”Are you alright?”

”Don't worry, I'm fine.” Lin Xiao put on a smile and pointed forward. ”Who will be afraid of challenge? I'm sure that I can do this just fine!”

The others: ”…” was the story about Golden Core Stage 2 yesterday scare him?

But knowing Lin Xiao, they knew that he was not one to feel threatened so easily. In fact, it was more likely for him to be intimidating others rather than the opposite.

Blinking her eyes, Princess Lan Yi Hua stared at Lin Xiao deeper but didn't ask more. What she did next was simply to stay close to him as if she was his bodyguard. It seemed as if she noticed that he was feeling some kind of discomfort and might not be able to fight to his fullest.

They soon arrived in their destination: a large field filled with people. There were many people who looked like they were waiting. Some of them clearly glared at each other to prevent anyone from getting close.

From the looks of it… there were dozens of groups that gathered here.

”Why are there so many?”

”Obviously for the reward. They can get one spirit stone per person as long as they can escort safely.” Prince Lin San shook his head, wondering just how rich that person was to be able to cough up so much money in one go.
